Real talk for a moment, has anyone here actually gotten all the achievements in TF2? What a fucking timesink that must be.
I got 460/520. Some of them are bugged and some aren't even obtainable anymore, like the youtube related ones.
Off topic but good luck to anyone here from Florida or the deep south with the hurricane on its way.
Real talk for a moment, has anyone here actually gotten all the achievements in TF2? What a fucking timesink that must be.
Most people with every achievement in TF2 use an external program which can unlock every achievement for any game. Sad but they do exist.
Also I know valve ditched descriptions for items and the like but man I'd love a subtle reference to sketcheck in this update...
Real talk for a moment, has anyone here actually gotten all the achievements in TF2? What a fucking timesink that must be.
I've had a go at it but: - Anything involving friends is a no go for me because I don't have many friends I regularly play TF2 with. - Pyromancer and The replay achievements for viewcount are broken and can't be achieved normally. - Some shit is just wack, one achievement is to lose using rock in the rock, paper scissors taunt 3 times (which is completely random). Another is to kill a certain number of people with the balloonicorn equipped which pretty much no one equips. - maps no one plays with achievements featuring arbitrary number over 100 of play times to get aka "win doomsday 138 times, win powerhouse 142 times" ect) - achievements that encourage being a shithead and ruining fun (backstab 10 players doing the square dance, ignite someone being flipped doing the flipping taunt.)
- maps no one plays with achievements featuring arbitrary number over 100 of play times to get aka "win doomsday 138 times, win powerhouse 142 times" ect)
Powerhouse is pretty popular. Winning on it though...
Real talk for a moment, has anyone here actually gotten all the achievements in TF2? What a fucking timesink that must be.
9 days to 10 years of TF2 and i have 441 of 520 achievements by just playing the game and not trying to achieve them.
- Pyromancer and The replay achievements for viewcount are broken and can't be achieved normally.
[t]https://i.imgur.com/Q2UTpcZ.png[/t] You can see Pyromancer's actual progress if you add it to your hud in-game through that achievement window in the menu.
Most people with every achievement in TF2 use an external program which can unlock every achievement for any game.
Most people with every achievement in TF2 use an external program which can unlock every achievement for any game. I just realized something, how will the Natascha and Brass Beast work in conjunction with the new GRU/Eviction Notice when the update releases? I don't use either of the miniguns, but they have a stat where if the Heavy is at less than 50% of max health he gets +20% damage resistance. Would getting that resistance be based off of his normal max health (300), or relative to the max health cap his weapons drains him to? For example, if he's drained to have a total of 140 max hp, would he need to get down to 69/140hp to get the +20% resistance, or since 140 is less than half of his normal 300hp, would he have the resistance until the health regenerates?
My fondest memory of tf2 was playing on FuG convoy on the day of the engineer update. Everyone was farming achievements and having a good time
Same but on ctf_vikings. Engies are so OP on this map (snipers too) even under normal circumstances but that night was just incredible. Pure mini-sentry shitshow.
How to get map winning achievements: Launch the map offline Disable autobalance Disable bots switching class after dying Add 23 scout bots on your team Increase host_timescale It'll take some time but it's an easy way to get it, you can use SAM too (bonus: use SAM to only change the stats of the achievement, like changing the number to 137/138 so you can still get the achievement in a real match)
My fondest memory of tf2 was playing on FuG convoy on the day of the engineer update. Everyone was farming achievements and having a good time
Mine was back in 2012, the Pyromania Update had just come out so everyone was playing Doomsday, everyone was playing either Pyro or Engineer and camping the rocket. Good times.
Most people with every achievement in TF2 use an external program which can unlock every achievement for any game. If you're an achievement hunter and don't want your streak broken by all the broken/stupid achievements in this game, there's not really any shame in using it.

Which update had -ish as the title for one of the days? Because I remember being baffled by that, as it was a tiny, tiny page.
I think people just use SAM to get achievement items when they're first starting out. I personally would never use it, though- anything that dilutes or diminishes my own accomplishments in a game (cheating, idling, SAM, etc) aren't something I'm interested in. I can't take pride in something i haven't earned.
not that i think using SAM makes you a bad person but doesnt that defeat the point of being an achievement hunter
Some of them are literally broken and unachievable, some are just really impractical (win 150 matches on this map nobody plays!), some require you to be an ass to other players. I'm not an achievement hunter myself, but I imagine most of them draw a line somewhere. I think the joy in it comes from challenges like "Beat Metal Slug 3 in one credit," not just grinding out a bunch of matches on Hydro.
Maybe i'm wrong, but i think that hacked achievements are a good sign that their owner is cheating in game. Not that it's enough to blame someone by itself, but if you see someone with 46 hours in game killing everyone left and right and they have impossible achievements... i guess it counts.

The only one broken for me is this one as it still sits at 0 with about 160 hours as Demoman:
The only one broken for me is this one as it still sits at 0 with about 160 hours as Demoman:
Try viewing that in the in-game achievement window, I think it's the same issue that Pyromancer has
9 days to 10 years of TF2 and i have 441 of 520 achievements by just playing the game and not trying to achieve them.
The anniversary is next month on Oct 10th. Unless you are counting the the pre-game release beta-testing phase.
Not bad for someone with almost 4k hours I guess, some achievements are broken asf though. Like the "Kill charging demoman while charging". Tried that so many times, never worked.
I think it may have to do with what shields you have?
I think it may have to do with what shields you have?
Fair point, I only tried tide turner and splendid screen, wouldn't be surprised if you gotto do it with the oldest shield in the game, since they never update achievements.
[t]https://i.imgur.com/1JM7SO6.png[/t] Zero use of SAM. I have been a community server admin for all except the first month of my TF2 career, which has lead me to arrange all sorts of improbable situations to get achievements. I'm one win away from the stupid PASS Time achievement. I tried queueing for it last week, and got connected to a game that ended the moment I joined. The next map was Doublecross, so I said F it and did what I always do.
