I hate having to go to FP everyday to see if the TF2 update gets released, when all I got is dissapointment.
So I'm going to make shit simple.
I think that the blog post will come out on the 15/9 or in the following days up until 23/9.
If not,I get banned and I STAY banned until the blog post comes out.

boooo
you know
monday is talk like a pirate day
1 hour. If it doesn't happen, I won't bet anymore. There's just no point with how easy it is.
:disappoint:
Let me correct you: 6 Hours, not that I expect anything.
If the update doesn't come out when i like it to come out, i will get TWO (2) big macs instead of one.

I'm honestly very sorry for that post, but I couldn't control myself.
If the update doesn't come out, I'm hanging myself.
Seriously though, I think the Update will be out at this month.

I think we're done here.
(User was permabanned for this post ("Here lies Chuggoth, peperony and chease" - Sgt Doom))
My bad, i've had less sleep than a Syrian landmine victim has intact toes.
if we're gonna keep this toxx-train rolling, everyone in this thread is gonna be permabanned before the update even comes
please ban the next person who toxxes in this thread, regardless of what they say.
the toxxes were funny for, like, the first two times it happened yesterday.
now it's just getting overplayed because everyone and their mom wants to toxx themselves for some fuckin reason, to the point that we aren't even talking about TF2 anymore, just bad toxx clauses.

No.
TF2 GCSS #2.5: The Passion of the Chuggoth (He lived, he died, and he lives again)
On topic:
I wonder what will probably go wrong with the case changes. Will be get something really fucked up like a Strange Normal Unusual? Or will people trade in unusuals and get skinned guns? My money is on the later. Imagine the trader salt.

:(
on-topic, what would make the wait for this update "worth it" to you?
I'm personally hoping for extensive performance optimizations and bugfixes- really hoping they put that Github to good use.
Toxx stuff happened after over 400days of wait (hope guy returns on garrys birthday, if thats still a thing).
I wonder what will happen after 500? Its almost a thousand!
So here's the stuff that doesn't make sense about this update.
The update content Dave riller described in February to during the interview was little more than gun mettle/tough break v3- the pyro edition. Hell, it was called campaign 3 internally too.
Yes they're also working on a short and a new world art theme, but I seriously doubt that's what's taking more time than both prior campaign updates combined.
It's become obvious that they're working on something more than what was mentioned in the valve interview, but the real question we should be asking is what?
I actually find it pretty sad that Valve can't even provide us with blog posts like every week or so on what they are working on. I mean cmon, how long does it take to write a blog post? 5-10 minutes?

I'm really hoping to get at least 1 of my workshop items in this update. I just had to do a round of major home repairs and I am in a tight spot again. Fingers crossed that lightning strikes twice and TF2 pulls me from the fire again.
EDIT: I'll get by if it doesn't happen, things will just be rough for a while.
I find it pretty impressive, that after 400+ days without any major update the player count for TF2 stays at roughly the same level, takes a lot of dedication to stick to the game which has a huge content drought.

Heavy Update. I'm still hoping they used all that time to prepare Pyro AND Heavy updates.

As far as what's basically confirmed we have 3 weapons, big fundamental changes to how a class works, rebalances to nearly all of his weapons, a lot of rebalances for other weapons, a valve map, (almost certainly) multiple community maps, reworked more complicated campaign system likely with skins for unlock weapons, community cosmetics, completely reworked comp mode, modifications to at least one old valve map to make it more compatible for competitive (bandlands), and a 4 minute short.
Beyond that we might speculate that there could be reworks for lots of valve maps, and while they're at it maybe modifications to gamemodes like ctf to be more compatible with comp, likely some changes to casual to combat unbalanced teams and frequent leaving, probably a few jungle themed weapon reskins, maybe one or two non-pyro new weapons if they're feeling like overachieving.

I'm honestly more scared about how they are going to do a rotation of unusual effects and bonus items (The unusualifier, festivizer, airplane hats) knowing how duels are still on Season 1.

Well, the unusual rotation is case specified, so I don't think any of the "normal" hats will get the jungle effects, it shouldn't jack up things too bad, but I'd say let's see where this goes.
for some fuckin reason
you can blame me.
no, that got delayed indefinitely
I must resist the urge to joke about Valve and this.
Also, hello thursday again. haven't felt this pain for an update in years. Hug me please.
Yo, VNN make a video on the radio silence and the toxx-aggedon.
VNN vids always make me feel better.

Except when VNN has made like 4 videos about the radio silence from valve already, and this one wouldn't be any different because that's all we've gotten.
We could always form an angry mob and storm Valve HQ. I'll provide the torches and pitchforks.
I don't see myself getting excited or waiting impatiently for another TF2 update ever again after this one is out, because who knows how long the next one will take if there even will be another update in the future.
Valve in general really disappoints me lately.
Just ran across a control point hacker, That shit is really upsetting.

I agree. I'm personally gonna treat this update as the final one for the game. Can't bother to wait another 14+ months for the "next big thing".
