Wait, you can't set up an escape clause ? Frick.

The Escape Clause is the only way you can be unbanned from a Toxx ban. (You must show the mods proof.)
I will recreate The 2 Player theme from Dr Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine with Demoman voicelines and sound effects from the game.
Ok, that sounds really freaking cool.

Ah, thanks for the clarification! How would i achieve showing them my proof ?
Ah, thanks for the clarification! How would i achieve showing them my proof ?
Just upload the Robotnik mix to Youtube or any other such website/app or send the mods the raw file if you will potentially do it.
You know it's a pointless toxx when you wanted to do the escape clause anyway
i shouldn't've made that god damn toxx. now everyone's doing it
i shouldn't've made that god damn toxx. now everyone's doing it
It's okay to do it but jesus Christ, go big or go home. Nobodies going to care about you doing weaksauce that's easy.
I think having every weapon available from the start would be way to overwhelming for new players, but with how many weapons are in the game I do think Valve should take a look at weapon drops. I think the current weapon system is one of the things that's kinda unfair to new players since they can't really control what weapon drops they get, so they either need to hope to get the weapon they want, trade for it or buy it. Even though we know Valve doesn't design weapon drops to be better than stock (but sometimes it happens of course) a new player might look at all the weapons they don't have and think the game is pay 2 win. Only having weapon skins/taunts and cosmetics are buyable items feels a lot more fair.
I think maybe having something like you unlock weapons as you get achievements for each class could potentially work. Add a bunch of new achievements for each class and achievement milestones. Maybe even let players decide what weapon they want to unlock when they get a milestone. Maybe have every weapon unlocked for a class within 10 hours or so playtime for that class on average. Maybe also have weapons unlock with playtime as well if players aren't earning enough achievements.
Of course many weapons in the game are community made and they get a cut of the sales from the Mann Co store so Valve may have to work out some kind of deal with the item creators depending on the terms of their contracts with the item creators.
Now I don't know how removing metal from the economy would affect it. Metal is free currency anyway and I bet Valve doesn't exactly love free currency constantly entering the economy, but TF2 was the first in game economy they made and they probably didn't exactly know what they were doing.
Every 25 levels of casual you get a notification that you can choose to unlock 3 weapons for each class
Weapons and metal from them are practically worthless to the common man, and who gives as shit about what impact this would have on people like Geel, they're such a small minority. Besides he's a businessman, he could find another way to exploit the market. If anything this could be a great opportunity for him, shifting markets are the most exploitable.
This is really, really dumb, while it's very well possible to add a system that's fair to new players and not crash metal price with enough changes to the crafting system
You should all be giving shits because the economy is the one reason anyone gives a shit about this game
And what "exploit the market" are you talking about?
Last night I had the privilege to play with Jill on a newly rebooted server of his with several community contributors. While most of the night consisted of shenanigans and gift spam, players were able to casually ask him some questions, some of these being TF2 related.
Was happy to hear him say that most of the weapon feedback was serious, with the most controversy stemming from the Spy rebalances.
Meanwhile, regarding item updates:

Safe to say those days are long gone.

This is ridiculous, the vast majority of the playerbase doesn't give two shits about the economy. Go into a casual match and most players won't even have tradeable cosmetics.

I feel as if at this point the only ones that play Mann Up are the ones that are absolutely fine with dropping a lot of money into the game.

He also essentially confirmed that the game has spaghetti code or that the game has a hard time dealing with hats, he said something like "Underneath TF2 you can hear the Source Engine, crying" and "The Source Engine is building up a class action lawsuit against TF2"
I don't remember exactly what he said, but somewhere along those lines
This is ridiculous, the vast majority of the playerbase doesn't give two shits about the economy. Go into a casual match and most players won't even have tradeable cosmetics.
maybe I expressed that in a wrong way, the meaning was that the game would die without the economy, regardless if you care about items or not

They are a bit pointless without context, however, but yes he did. He also expressed his love for the Mac port but that's a whole other story.

I think it's either the people who are new to the game and run with Gibus+Mercernary badge combo, or the ones that have unusual and/or Australium weapon(s) and/or expenive Strange Festive weapons. I've done a lot of tours with Mann Up Tickets and this is all I see, no inbetween.
Every 25 levels of casual you get a notification that you can choose to unlock 3 weapons for each class
You scrap all different level counters and merge them into a single account wide Level, leveled up by casual, competitive, MvM, even community-server-play if you want to get crazy. Every level you get a random drop.
Completely remove the "random drops" system and replace it with random daily and weekly quests.
The weekly quest can have 5 options for you to choose the week's quest and dailies can have 3 options to choose the day's quest.
These quest will be Class specific, Weapon specific, Weapon Family (Rocket Launchers) Specific, MvM Specific, etc.
Every selection must have at least one StockWeapons nonMvM compatible quest for the newbies.
This will average to an 8 drops per week, the most probable current weekly drop sum, on top of which you'll have the level drops.
You can even have game wide "event quests", like the two WAR!s. Have a global counter to a set goal, which when reached everyone gets a drop of value corresponding to their contribution. I'd say make these monthly.
To increase interest these "events" you can even include an "event card", getting a stamp out X every time you contribute in a successful event and when you get all X out of X you get a key drop. I'd set the needed amount of stamps per card to 3, thus making them "seasonal" with the monthly "events".
F2P accounts wouldn't get access to these, unless Valve decides to be generous (and they should be imo, but this is another post for another time).
Lastly, please already, remove all keys, remove crates from the drop tables, have crates be bought from the store and not need a key to open them. If this happens, completed "event cards" would give these crates instead of keys.
Edit: Oh, also change the weapon craft blueprints already. Any weapon that needs more than two weapons or a weapon and a scrap to craft is ridiculous and a trap for F2Ps and newbies.

see, even they want a new engine
Pardon me, but could you specify what you mean by item updates?
Likely means items previously one class going multi-class.
Snip
Huh, there's a weird bar on the TF2's website now. The Official Team Defense Fort 2 Website

Edit: Seems to be fixed now.
Edit2: Happened again after refreshing. The website seems to be buggy as fuck now; after one refresh only the classes' images loaded.
Edit3: Sometimes it's also just the text "Forbidden". Is something happening? I guess not.
Edit4: Min 10 mins and it's still sometimes happening. A wordpress update doesn't take this long.
Edit5: Just saw it in reddit. It has been happening for min 4 hours.
-snip-
What if 2017 has no major updates?

Also happens with the TF Team contact forum on Valve's website. I was just about to submit a huge list of bugs, dang.
What if 2017 has no major updates?
Then that would be incredibly sad.
My page monitor has went of countless times today because of TF2 website issues (until I had disabled it), highly doubt it's anything.
