Alright the TF2 website is acting up incredibly weirdly. Blog Posts aren't loading. Just now I literally got a Forbidden Error. [t]https://files.catbox.moe/d6uwvy.png[/t] good
Last week had a bunch of website "changes" aswell combining that with the prep Update
Yea, the previous website's hiccups weren't as substantial as toweek's and the previous week's ones. However, valvesoftware.com also has the same problems, so I think it's something else. Edit: counter-strike.net doesn't seem to have any problems, and dota.com too. What the f*ck?
Also who is the "e" man? :s:
ejill
I've been playing a bit of a "mobile" Heavy lately, Tomislav+DalokohsBar+EvictionNotice and even though I always loved the DBar, there are a few tweaks I'd like it to have. Current +Increases base HP by 50 for 30" after consumption. +Can Overheal up to 400HP (a significant amount of the 50HP overheal (keep in mind 350HP base) will have drained by the time it can be put to use) +Recharge time reduced by 66% (10" compared to Sandvich's 30") -Healing reduced by 66% (100HP compared to Sandvich's 300HP) -Small Medipack when thrown (instead of Sandvich's Medium) This current version pseudo-enables a more flexible independent roaming Heavy, but it mostly allows him to share his consumables more freely. Proposed +Increases base HP by 50 (having this go away every 30" is more of a nuisance than a drawback) +Can Overheal up to 450HP (straight up buff to the roaming Heavies) +Recharge time reduced by 66% (this is the best part of the weapon, lets not change it) -Healing reduced by 40% (it now heals "half" (180HP) of the new base HP, ideally it would be 175 but 40% is the closest decimal multiplier) -Small Medipack when thrown (this is fine when combined with the 10" cooldown) This version furthermore enables the flexindependaroaming Heavy by allowing him to engage with a personal OH buff (whereas the current would have evaporated) and having him take less launch brakes thanks to the non-vaporizing extra HP and the extra healing. It keeps the candy-happy-sharing Heavy the same since its already fine. A very niche use of the Dalokohs Bar is combining it with a QuickFix Medic. Other Mediguns: 300HP+50%OH=450HP Quick Fix: 300HP+25%OH=375HP QF+D'sBar: 350HP+25%=437.5HP The Quickfix however, can sustain overheals higher than 25%. NOW WITH THE NEW AND IMPROVED DALOKOHS BAR, THE HEAVY CAN OVERHEAL TO 450HP AND THE QUICKFIX MEDIC CAN SUSTAIN IT, AS IF HE WIELDED ANY OTHER MEDIGUN. A MASSIVE ADDITIONAL 12.5HP! :dogcited: Edit: With the current bar, it takes 4 Uses to go from bellow50HP to max. With the proposed it takes 2 Uses. That's a difference of nearly 30". Old: Needs 1-100HP, 1 use, ~5" Old: Needs 101-200HP, 2 uses, ~20" Old: Needs 201-300HP, 3 uses, ~35" Old: Needs 301-349HP, 4 uses, ~50" New: Needs 1-180HP, 1 use, ~5" New: Needs 181-349HP, 2 uses, ~20"

Most likely not TF2 related. Edit: I can however say, that replicating it on the TF2 blog is extremely easy. AnotherEdit: The TF2 wiki is having issues as well, loading extremely slow or not at all.
Valve's website is working fine for me
Refresh again.
I got "forbidden" on the CSGO blog. Most likely not TF2 related.
I didn't. You sure about that? Edit: Got it once.
Are we sure that is not just Wordpress crapping out again?
Are we sure that is not just Wordpress crapping out again?
Unless it's some specific version of Wordpress that they're using http://www.wpbeginner.com/showcase/40-most-notable-big-name-brands-that-are-using-wordpress/ I opened all 40 of them and all worked just fine.
Weapons and metal from them are practically worthless to the common man, and who gives as shit about what impact this would have on people like Geel, they're such a small minority. Besides he's a businessman, he could find another way to exploit the market. If anything this could be a great opportunity for him, shifting markets are the most exploitable. From a non-economical standpoint, people who racked up a ton of hours in the game (most of us here) already have most weapons we need if not all of them, so the change wouldn't really be felt. F2Ps would feel the change the most. With their limited backpacks, they can't hold on to all weapons at once, so if they had all the weapons from the start it'd be like christmas. A possible downside would be that they'd be robbed of the euphoric feeling of finding a cool new weapon from a drop, especially if it's one they died to a lot of times and looked forward to getting. Instead they'd have the whole complexity of the game dropped on them and the amount of options could be overwhelming. To F2Ps it'd be more of a sideways step if anything, to us veterans it'd be a barely perceptible change, and everyone else isn't really worth considering. So yeah.
We don't even make any money from scrapbanking.
I wouldn't mind if a bunch of weapons just got achievement versions, you could make more achievement milestones or tie weapons to specific achievements if there aren't enough achievements for a particular class. It would add a better sense of progression without overwhelming new players with 150 weapons to choose from
Are we sure that is not just Wordpress crapping out again?
Wordpress problems usually have short breakouts that "clean" the page from what I have seen; A clown fiesta of this size where the entire page breaks, you get forbidden etc. is on a next level.
Jill told me they don't use WordPress. I don't know if I should believe him.
Jill told me they don't use WordPress. I don't know if I should believe him.
Is Jill a trustworthy person?
Is Jill a trustworthy person?
i mean he is one of the main tf2 devs so idk probably
The TF2 blog acting up again. That was the 72 new posts in MUS. Really now. I think it's time to replace the barrel boys, because we're scraping the floor beneath it at this point.
People are so desperate for the update that technical difficulties not exclusive to TF2 excite them. A count down page would be a mercy right now.
Pretty glad the War Thunder 1.71 update released today. Gives me something to take my mind off the love-hate relationship I have with Team Fortress 2. ... Too bad I've also got a love-hate relationship with War Thunder. ᵂʰᵃᵗ ᵃᵐ ᴵ ᵈᵒᶦᶰᵍ ᵗᵒ ᵐʸˢᵉᶫᶠ﹖

You might need to work for it, but there is nothing more satisfying than some angry child's reaction to getting shot down by an ancient, obsolete biplane.

Speaking of achievements... Do you think the TF2 Devs will touch Achievements at all this next update? Perhaps fix some of the broken ones, and perhaps also add a sizable batch in the foreseeable future?
Blog seems to be back up and running.
Blog seems to be back up and running.
we wouldn't want it down a few hours before the Day1 post hits :hammered:
I got a 20k killstreak as a phlog pyro and it felt amazing. its literally the first time i've ever reached that much and oh god. cue in me being the only one who enjoy this shit.

i'm not here to compare the two games and whine about support between the two but check out the concise verbiage on the latest dota 2 blog post: "Ahead of the Frostivus season, we have a couple other things in the works. Our next big release will be The Dueling Fates update. We are still hard at work on it and don’t have an exact release date, but we are expecting it to take about another month to finish the content. We are also putting the finishing touches on the next True Sight episode, scheduled to be released on Tuesday next week. We have put together a teaser for it, check it out here."

Maybe the blog being broken is the dev team trying to tell us that they're "forbidden" from releasing the update?
