:hypeisnotreal: What is the opposite of "Choo choo, motherfuckers!" because that's where we are. Also school is back in session pretty much everywhere and QuickPlay is a faded memory, so most community servers not named Skial are once again a ghost town.

I just want that competitive update. I'd be fine if they completely ditched the pyro update along with the jungle update and campaign as long as they fixed the ranking system in the competitive mode and gave us some balance changes. It's been so long since I've had enjoyment in TF2. The new update is the only thing that'll revive my enjoyment of the game.

That's like blaming a person for the hurricane that's about to rip up the east coast

dane shouldn't have posted it, community shouldn't have obsessed over it, TF team shouldn't have been silent about it all comes back to the age old problem of the TF team just not communicating

So either dane posted that tweet as a joke to build fake hype, or the team showed the date in plain view as a joke, knowing somebody would tweet it, ultimately building fake hype. Either way, I'm not sure why the team is deconfirming the whole 9/6 thing to one person in a PM, rather than all of us here. Oh well. Update hype back to 0.

I don't care if the leak was dane not seeing the cactus for the cactus preserve or if it somehow was a fake Pazer (doubtful but w/e), I'm keeping the title the same. It won't be the first time a MUS thread was named after some bad info.

Maybe they aren't communicating enough, per say, but the balancing blog post and Jill's communication on Reddit are a good start.

Dane shouldn't be at fault at all, he said himself he just saw the date on the whiteboard and got excited, not knowing exactly what it means. I guarantee if anyone else went there instead, they would of done the same thing, maybe even worse and say for sure its coming out on that date.

The way it's described sounds explicitly created to be leaked information. The fact that not only did valve avoid deconfirming this early on but they had such a thing visible during a tour they were well aware had community figures is fucking pitiful.
