I mean, it's good to let people know about these scumbags so that they don't commit sudoku from his threats.
Think of it something similar to hackers and the cheats they use. Technically it's a better idea to keep the name of the cheat out of the public eye so as to not attract attention and any potential users.
Rather than reassuring everyone that these kinds of behaviors/cheats exist, shouldn't we focus on teaching people how to spot/avoid said problems? Toxic behavior and cheats are meant to grab attention. If you feed them the attention they want, you've basically rewarded them a job well done.
Sometime last year I recall around the time the dead chat functionality was modified for TF2, the way muting people changed as well. You can mute both the voice and text-chat of a player in-game. You can block them on Steam. You can join a different server. Do any of those without saying a word to the problem child and he'll get nothing out of it and most likely move on.

Uh, not your personal army, pal.
Excellent. Now if valve could get around to the grief group responsible for partied-up cheaters that can't be kicked, that would be great.
This is steam group with a tag for cheaters.
These gremlins need to be exterminated.

Those femscout and fempyro models are absolutely wretched. There's at least one trade server I frequent where donors can switch to those models and they are visible for everyone. They are absolutely fuck awful in and out of game.

You know what's worse? Femscout voice acting.
For the record I don't have any grudge against Max, he's just a prat who comes to oblique conclusions about something and then assumes he's affirmatively and objectively correct. It could not be the Scout's mother, really, but it was the consensus of the time and we don't have any evidence that suggests the contrary. That facemap only vaguely matches in facial structure. If anything, it looks like Early P2 Chell to me, but again it's more likely it's the scout's mother.

That and he betrayed us for Dota 2, that cad!
That and he betrayed us for Dota 2, that cad!
He "betrayed" TF2 because someone rumbled the fact he was making really weird awkward inflationist porn with TF2 models and is trying to pretend like he never was involved with TF2 much anyway.
I was working today and a particular song played on my cellphone, it was called "Mutual Love". The lyrics talk about love between human beings, but the stuff I really remember is where I first listen to this song, it was a G-Mod video called "Mutual Love", a farewell from a Youtube channel. That made me realize how much this game has given us. I'm browsing old g-mod and SFM videos on Youtube. Stuff like "TF2 Air" or "Heavy is Spy". Hell, even that shitty "Surprise Buttsecks" remix. And I love every single second of each video. All the memories of a young me (and near obese bastard) enjoying those random videos came back to me.
There's a lot of video games. You can see a lot of memes, artwork and quality content from the other video games, yet no other game seems to receive as much love as TF2. Even in our darkest times and update-less hour,s we can still go back and see an amazing history of content, not from Valve and the TF2 Team, but from the fans. From pen and paper drawings to top-notch items.
Thank you to everyone involved on this community.

Eyebrows are totally different.
I can picture myself 20 years from now going on a nostalgia trip by watching "Team Fabulous 2" by our dearly departed Kitty0706.

Mutual Love was Shwiggan with SFM, actually.

I don't know, seems more likely it could be the one on the bottom left here
Not sure why it was important to make a youtube video showcasing this guy's attention seeking behavior though. It's the internet, why is it so hard for people to block the assholes and move on?
It's not so much that they have a problem blocking one guy, they have a problem with the fanbase as well. That's what this guy relied on: the hive mentality. That was one of his threats too; the 4chan group... even though one such group didn't exist. It doesn't need to apply only to those with a following either, it applies to anyplace where an opinion or story can be quickly shared to people.
I help moderate LazyPurple's Silly Servers, and am an administrator of the MicSnobs community of servers. Both of them tend to get a negative rap on Reddit because people act like idiots, get banned, then complain on Reddit about being banned - they always make up a good portion of their story or outright leave out significant details that points the fault at themselves.
At one point, someone got banned from LazyPurple's servers, and they posted about it on /r/tf2. It pretty much ended in multiple people coming onto the servers and harassing the mods, admins, and users of the servers for hours without end. We couldn't IP ban them because there were multiple different attackers. Eventually the post was taken down due to the (possibly unintentional) brigading by the banned person and new attackers ceased to appear.

That was the guy, and SFM? I swear it was on g-mod. Thanks for the correction, fella. Guess I was too happy about those old videos.

Eugh. I'll admit in all honest that I kind of have some sort of weird soft spot for the fempyro, [sp]because tall curvy women in latex and cool masks does something to the basest most primitive areas of my lizard brain[/sp] but I really don't think it has any place actually being in-game.

I rewatch it every year. The peak of gmod art tbh.
try watching sketchek videos and not tear up a bit.

mass group bans/community bans are incredibly rare, they only do it on extreme cases, worth noting that while not always the decision taker, stuf like that are usually dealt with by Steam Community Moderators, who are volunteers, they don't actually work for Valve.

Got to agree. It's the context that puts me off the most in her case, paid vanity on a server equivalent of backalley in rural town, accesed trough ugly number selection vgui menu. The character itself, though, is...
But the femscout is eldritch abomination. I doubt someone could argue on that

Man after watching a few vids and recreating his tactics for myself, I really hope to god they do something with the axtinguisher.
I get it's a really hated weapon but christ is it so useless right now, like in the time it takes to pull out is the amount of time I can do more than 133 damage with my flamethrower...
I get it's a really hated weapon
No it's not. Airblast functioning as a stun is 100% the reason why people felt frustrated by the Axtinguisher combos. It's just most people only see the thing in the killfeed and blame that rather than the thing that made it virtually impossible to actually move in any meaningful way to avoid it. Same goes with every single Pyro combo in existence, it will stay that way until airblast gets seriously retooled to be fair to those on the receiving end. The last change we got only solved seemingly-permanent lockdowns, it still stuns just the same as before in all other situations.
A big congrats to everyone running Tip of the Hats for raising over $156,000 for Children's Oncology Services.

If only an update could retool the Pyro and his major components. A Pyro Update, if you will.
The "ideal" 50/60s woman is not an ideal character design. It was a really bad time for women. Plus mercenary women would not fit in the ideal 60s housewives/pin up, pretty much the opposite. They are strong minded fighters and killers for money. Theses designs fit really well that idea and i'm sure the community has already adopted them. Ive seen a dozen fanarts already, here (can't get embedded tweets working on mobile for some reason)

speaking of fem scout, i remember back then hating the current femscout and liking a really old, broken and ugly model that doesnt have facial movement

Nigel Thornberry walks the earth
I never seen it and i have to say that in some ways it's improvement from current one. First of all - it doesn't try to be normal, perfected human being. Being cartoonish is about having exaggerated features and not being flat-textured and cell-shaded. Though i admit this one does it too much. Second - the outfit is much more fitting for scouting, even though it's very close to the male scout. You try running in the skirt, modern model author. So even if the quality is sub-par, it's still a better start than scunt most of us know.
Off-topic; By the way, would anyone happen to know who that glubbable character is? I'm a bit out of the loop. He seems to be getting a lot of traction lately, even getting his own idealized female totally TF2 style model that for some reason made it to the front of the workshop and gamebanana IIRC

Max used to be a moderator in facepunch because he was an animator for the game Rust and Garry’s Mod.
People hated how he moderates and got banned because he can’t stop talking about feminism.
Also the fem scout/pyro are not even his model, He just added a bow/wings and call it his own. check his dramatica page for more info I guess.
Let’s stop talking about him for now
It's time we get some new "Hiring" badges (Mercenary, Soldier of fortune...). Weird how players who started in 2011 have the same badge as someone who has just installed the game.
