Not bad, but you'll want to use bone weighting in order to prevent it from folding over like that.
I think the folding helps make it look more like a balloon thing instead of, well, a bone.
In case any contributors are wondering why Steam Revenue activity isn't updating, I wrote Eric to ask earlier today. He said they know there's a lag in reporting, but there aren't any issues with the underlying sales. They're working to get things caught up. So don't panic; everything should be fine, you just can't see your most recent reportings atm. I also asked as a PS if we can expect the jungle assets to be released soon, but he didn't have any info on that he could share.
Anyone else getting ratings like these? The other item in the set has almost the exact same amount of votes. It just feels kinda suspicious since it happens for every single set I upload. I also never got this many negative votes when I was doing stuff years ago. Is anyone else experiencing generally harsher ratings?

workshop ratings have been pretty rough over the last 2 and a half years it would seem, around the time they launched the map workshop i wouldn't be too worried, valve's picking standards seem reasonably consistent and i know of a few items that have been accepted with less than 70% positive ratings, so it's safe to say the ratings won't exactly hurt your item's chances.
Snip-O
Nah, It's the community; It ain't what it used to be and it's kinda in decline along with the emporium. [t]http://i.imgur.com/SvBBFaw.png[/t]

[sp]Alright not really, but this came into my mind the second I saw this post.[/sp]
I know it's been discussed several times before over the years here, but it's because of the queuing system and the change in upvote/downvote labels. Before the new system (which isn't really that new anymore), everyone who flocked to your item would either upvote or not vote at all. The thumbs down had a negative connotation to it, to where people who thought 'meh' would simply hit the back button in their browser without voting. Now with the introduction of 'No thanks/Not interested', all of those 'meh' people express their neutrality by voting 'No thanks'. Additionally with the queuing system, voters are required to click one of the 3 options before proceeding. Even though there's an 'ask me later' button, I never click it because I realize my opinion on an item is more black/white than I thought. Oft times I'll say 'no thanks' on an item that I otherwise wouldn't have voted on. Overall it has been a positive improvement to the workshop. Before, all amazing items had an upvote ratio of 99% and bad quality items were still generally rated 90%+. Now, amazing workshop items generally get above 80% and decent items get around 70%. Anything below 60% is a pretty clear indicator there's a fundamental flaw with the workshop item in question. These ratings allow Valve a much easier time distinguishing high quality submissions. One thing to remember is that everyone is subject to this rating system, and with it, comes a lot more upvotes as well. My more recent items frequently get more than 1500 upvotes in the first couple days, while with the old rating system I would barely reach 500.
me always
I understand that it is a pretty shitty feeling to have your work downvoted all the time, but you must seriously understand this; you seriously need to improve the way you make your items. If i were you, I would start by practising your modelling; whilst it has improved, and that Rick hair wasn't terrible ( bit chunky though) I would still make something that is pretty easy, for example, a top hat or a fedora and learn the different tools of 3D modelling, just so you can increase your skills a bit more. After you get better at modelling, you could then start practising texturing (or ask others to texture, if you like). Just don't try to do EVERYTHING on your own without wanting to improve. That's all I'm trying to say Hope that this helps and I'm sorry that the others were so harsh on you the previous pages. But sadly, there are some angsty people on the Emporium
i can confirm ratings mean pretty much nothing.
Took me awhile, but I finally got this done Huntsman Requiem [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/87095428608976055/E7F238F9CFD60D4B63983A58C51C8843764141D8/[/t] [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/87095428608976460/47F047BAC9D8A079F4ACE27627F11906251ECD0F/[/t] http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=864845314 Once again a big thanks to Gadget for texturing this weapon. His stuff is A+. A mod version will follow whenever.

Save your work as much as you can, everyone; You never know when you'll have computer trouble and lose your work. Redesigned that junker widowmaker from the ground up, now just aiming to clutter it up and make it seem more banged up (once I get into properly colouring it)
This somehow reminds me of a laser rifle from Fallout.
In a way, I did base a lot of my design choices on the laser rifle from the third game, mainly because the weapon's boxy design seemed like a good fit for a reference point. [T]http://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/fallout/images/9/90/AER9LASERRIFLE.png/revision/latest?cb=20110207054152[/T] I'll admit the handle's taken directly from the weapon, because the clunky look of it felt perfect for my own concept. [editline]16th February 2017[/editline] Semi-Final version of this thing! (Also any suggestion for names? My best idea so far is Metal Muncher and Trash Compactor, but I'd love some other ideas~)
Wasteland Bessie? P.s. may I claim this one eventually? I love it.
I believe that FiveEyes wants to work on this, given that it's part of the scavenger set. But hey, if we need an extra hand, we'll call ya!
;51830343']The buttons on that coat item really don't make any sense...
That's pretty much how this type of jacket looks. The biggest problem to me is how the bottom of the coat splays so far apart after passing under the belt, although that's a result of the soldiers coat being spread at the bottom in general.
weird, is this consistent? my ratings are generally above 80
As they say, if you don't toot your own horn, it generally goes un-tooted.
That's pretty much how this type of jacket looks. The biggest problem to me is how the bottom of the coat splays so far apart after passing under the belt, although that's a result of the soldiers coat being spread at the bottom in general.
So that type of jacket has buttons on only the top half... but still has button holes on the bottom, for buttons that don't exist? You must have some strange jackets dude.
;51830343']The buttons on that coat item really don't make any sense...
I admit that they probably do look kinda strange, I didn't know much about greatcoats when I made the concept at first, and I was even corrected by another user here on the forums on how I had the buttons on the wrong sides. Though nobody mentioned to me back when I was still tweaking the concept that there were too many buttons/they wouldn't have been on the coat tails. So sorry if its not as accurate as it could have been. Although my intentions were that because it wasn't a full length Greatcoat, it could have been cropped down, because of the few reference images I did have, the buttons extended partially below the belt: [t]http://cdn3.volusion.com/hzdkc.ttsfk/v/vspfiles/photos/RP-M36GTCT-2.jpg[/t][t]http://cdn3.volusion.com/hzdkc.ttsfk/v/vspfiles/photos/RPM40GTCT-4.jpg?1478264916[/t][t]http://www.anticsonline.co.uk/l.aspx?k=16330[/t]
