Manually recreating the mesh from scratch to look exactly the same is still plagiarism. Its like taking a concept from someone and tracing it, adding something small to differentiate it, and then saying it was your own concept.
Original concept do not steal. Don't worry about it I did my own lines so it's fine
the cold snap is a winter coat, my jacket is an air force uniform
I mean this in a completely inoffensive way, but do you have any mental disabilities? It seems like you're legitimately struggling to comprehend the problem here, regardless of language barriers.

Before I put too much time into this Medigun idea, I just kinda want to make sure it actually looks like it fits in TF2. Pretty new to weapon design... [t]http://i.imgur.com/GCHnyl3.png[/t] It's meant to go with this WIP Bonesaw from awhile back. [t]http://i.imgur.com/YfrnGtD.png[/t] Any comments or suggestions?

As for the medigun, its also really good, but the downside is something I'm having trouble putting my finger on. The back part with the lever looks really odd? I'm not sure how to change it, so take that as you will EDIT:
The middle part looks weirdly organic and the whole thing is a bit thin and flimsy looking. Try beefing it up with some tubes or metal plates or something.
That's the word I was looking for. Every other part looks very machine-y and has simple parts. And the part with the lever looks very organic and unlike the rest of it.

I remember the Capo's Capper drama and it kind of got out of hand.
Well the Capo's drama was a much bigger deal to be fair.

Look back the last few pages, a bunch of us (me included) tried to be nice and even constructive. But even before he was going "nuh uh" about his not-Cold Snap Coat he was completely dismissive of any criticism. Like what do you want us to even say, that it's good when it's not? That you didn't steal it when there's overwhelming evidence to the contrary? Yes it's unecessary to mock him since he likely doesn't give a shit, but he more than deserves it
The thing is he'll go right ahead with texturing it & submit it to the workshop in the next couple of weeks, and then get called out for plaigerism & recieve a copyright claim. He's done it so many times before and he'll do it again, even if it means tarnishing what little credibility the kid has left in the workshop community. He's had so many chances to redeem himself, but whatever his deal is has just made him seem like such an oblivious, inept child who thinks he's misunderstood when in reality, he's just doing his own thing and not caring about what others think and what concequences may befall him. Best now to just move on now; we don't want to make another page dedicated to nothing but drama.
Any comments or suggestions?
Make a perspective view of your bonesaw.
Make a perspective view of your bonesaw.
Forgot to say that the Bonesaw concept was also WIP, sorry about that (last time I posted it I wasn't sure I was going to keep going with it). Definitely planning to do that.
Make a perspective view of your bonesaw.
it's pretty easy to visualise how it looks from other angles tho?
Dragara's medigun concept is giving me some serious Warframe vibes... All of that organic-looking plating, you know? So cool.
how is stealing if it was up to grabs when i made them, and i also made my own concepts then
While they are up for grabs, you still NEED to ask for permission. On the main points, I'd suggest reading a lot of the stuff that is being posted right now. And I don't mean ignoring what others are saying and go off on a tangent, I mean actually taking constructive criticism and admitting to your own actions. There are a lot of people in here who work hard on items and have been doing so for years, and want to help you, but you gotta understand that they will only be willing to help if you are willing to learn from a third-person perspective. And with the "thinking I can do this and so-so won't get upset", remember that a lot of people work hard to make concepts and art, and you can't just go and take something without permission. We all treat each other with respect, and I think you should start doing the same. I hope tonight you've learned something, as we here do every single day. I'm done talking about this now. Sorry if I am late, I just wanted to state my thoughts.
Now back to our regularly scheduled programming... [t]http://i.imgur.com/U3lC2rR.png[/t] Already got a texturer lined up, just looking for crits before I start unwrapping
It's meant to go with this WIP Bonesaw from awhile back. [t]http://i.imgur.com/YfrnGtD.png[/t] Any comments or suggestions?
It looks a lot like the Ubersaw.. [t]https://wiki.teamfortress.com/w/images/3/35/RED_Ubersaw.png?t=20111211050238[/t] Maybe remove the blade and emphasize on that little protruding part that goes over the needle? Adding some measurement lines to the glass part of the syringe would make it interesting too, I imagine.
Some shorts and bandolier. Other items up for grabs.
Scout doesn't have a leg bodygroup, so this item would need a redesign
Scout doesn't have a leg bodygroup
Just use an alpha then.
You can't do that either. Valve did that with the zombie playermodels, but that isn't something we have access to with the importer.
You can't do that either. Valve did that with the zombie playermodels, but that isn't something we have access to with the importer.
If i ask really nicely do you think valve will update the importer?
Some shorts and bandolier.
I remember creating a very quick model, purely to test the "shorts" idea: [t]http://i.imgur.com/jGEJUOi.png[/t] The knees were intended to be covered with some kind of sports knee pads, or wraps, etc.; they would allow to keep the default shape and at least some of the default colors. (If I manage to continue working on them some day, I'll make some "proper" knee pads) Though I am not sure if this looks plausible, it is possible to make, so I would advice to add something similar, like a pair of knee protectors.

Made a custom SMG concept. What design do you like? Also put the names I came up with, which do you like or prefer a name instead? Although I don't have time painting these designs. Edit: what's so funny? All I want is comments.
Edit: what's so funny? All I want is comments.
These are hardly concepts.
I'd suggest getting into more detail before committing to what is effectively a gun shape with a magazine attached to it. If your goal is to distinguish the silhouette from existing guns, great you've got that down pat since it's literally just shapes, but if you want it to be usable as a concept there's virtually nothing to really work with. As it stands you'd get better results from looking at actual pictures of real-world SMGs.
The shorts remind me of this horror http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=325792575&searchtext=
