btw, the weapon looks really different when compile it ingame, what you guys are seeing is just the blender viewport without any light.:
So show us some HLMV shots?
Just a heads up, Ertz and I have been working on a super similar shotgun design recently. And while its not got the clip or anything, i just wanted to mention it before any ground would appear as over stepped:
I only dislike the shotgun pump, other than that I love everything else.
I only dislike the shotgun pump, other than that I love everything else.
Its still relatively WIP, we need to shape adjust the pump so that the shading doesn't seem so strange. Its supposed to appear relatively smooth, with carved indents, but instead the lighting makes it as if its rounded in between each indent.

One with indents and one without indents.
I'll render this later. More Concepts!
A lot of your gun designs are just straight up real looking guns without much variation. Gets a bit boring tbh
Speaking of Sims_doc's stuff! WIP texture for the Law: [t]http://i.imgur.com/9P6dAII.png[/t] Vipes' first time texturing. I think the body looks alright, though the grips are gonna be redone (and the teamcolored line in the body changed). Critique would be greatly appreciated. Also concept art for comparison: [t]http://i.imgur.com/w9Nms0H.png[/t] EDIT:
X-post from the Frontline! thread
I completely forgot Frontline was a thing! Probably can get the Law added to the collection. Do you guys think the Double Claymore would be fine for Frontline?
I do believe this fills the criteria for a frontline submission. IJCT's texture really made this one stand out [T]http://i.imgur.com/2xBkiUz.png[/T] [T]http://i.imgur.com/MotFUFV.png[/T] Workshop In case anyone were wondering, it is a LAU-49 rocket pod fitted with a helicopter cyclic grip and a huey minigun sight (which jiggles, btw) Bonus: Hotrod had good times making the promo [T]http://i.imgur.com/VDqSmFf.jpg[/T]
X-post from the Frontline! thread

After switching to the softened_weapon_lightwarp it looks much better now. I would argue that 9 out of 10 times the softened lightwarp looks much better and the old one shouldn't be used anymore.
[T]https://puu.sh/ut9Ds/8d2159faf9.png[/T] [T]http://www.rockshockpop.com/screencaps/HRPufnstuf/05.jpg[/T] WIP of a thing I guess Damn it tho this show is weird
A lot of your gun designs are just straight up real looking guns without much variation. Gets a bit boring tbh
What would you suggest to give them more character then?
[T]https://puu.sh/ut9Ds/8d2159faf9.png[/T]
Oh cool beans now i can cosplay as Davy Jones (1945-2012).
What would you suggest to give them more character then?
Exaggerated shapes and sizes, as well as more unique colors. Examples could be like a gradient-shape barrel that is smaller at the rear and larger/flared at the front. Generally nothing should be a straight box in the game, it should at least be skewed in some way to make it more cartoon like in appearance, so that its not a 1:1 recreation of said gun. If it has wood, you could do it some favors by making the wood more orange-tinted or possibly even team-tinted like most of the browns used on the different character pallets. Kinda poorly thrown together and edited from one of my recent WIPs, but instead of this: [t]https://puu.sh/utdaI.png[/t] which is literally a 1:1 of an Einfield No.2 aside from the break action hinge being absent You'd have this: [t]https://puu.sh/utdbh.png[/t] this having a much longer and more exaggerated barrel shape, a longer handle, and a slightly larger cylinder. Basically numerous small tweaks that make it not exactly the same as the real world variant, while also still retaining the resemblance of it, but in a more cartoon-y fashion. Dusty below me, also makes a really valid point as well.
Also one thing I'd like to add since we're on the subject of more interesting designs: unonorthodox ideas. Some really good examples from this thread recently are Spike's new RL, which is parts of a helicopter strapped to a missile pod, and even the wooden flaregun Ikes and IJCT've done. Using real life weapons can give you some good ideas for sure -especially when there's a vast collection of weirder ones out there - but it does get pretty stale when all you produce is exact 1:1 replicas without offering any real diversity. It's fun to experiment with shapes and weirder, unorthodox ideas as long as they fit with the game!
if we're talking about unorthodox weaponry, this gun i made with SVDL was loosely inspired by roadhog's scrap gun, with the trigger being inspired by nail guns/medic's syringue gun, gear teeth for the break and a general industrial theme there wasnt a real gun that I took any remote inspiration from and I think it turned out really well [T]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/495766099601714369/C286C629C74B0C96B5E1CDE2D7C518A43BB270DB/[/T] taking inspiration from already abstract sources is always a good idea if you can make it fit
Some of my favorite looking workshop weapons have been mostly original ideas and not based on a real life weapon. Try just making some weapons of your own design, more cartoony and whatnot as a creative exercise.
Damn it's funny you mention original weapons, because even though one I'm currently working on is the Shaolin spade, Blizzard kinda beat me to it with that Reinhardt skin... Guys help, i don't even know what this is supposed to be: [t]https://puu.sh/uti0z.png[/t] I just keep putting out random shapes and putting them into a gun.

Final design for this thing (name suggestions are more than welcome): [t]http://i.imgur.com/q5ofnep.png[/t] Claimed by SageJFox!
Final design for this thing (name suggestions are more than welcome): [t]http://i.imgur.com/q5ofnep.png[/t] Up for grabs!
I really dig the design, but is the needle moving back possible? I know the vial emptying is possible cos the Ubersaw/Vita Saw does it (Can't remember which). But the needle part going the other way? I dunno
Don't mean to spam this page so I apologize. What started as a silly misc item may end up as a whole set, seeing as I've been really enjoying drawing this up. For some background information, this set's a nod to the late Jack Wild and the role he played as Jimmy from HR Pufinstuf, a bizaare kids show from the 70's. I added a coat & undershirt option (Please not that I won't leave that shirt orange), but while I figure out if I wanna add a third item somehow I do need help with the first item design: Option 1: This was a part of Jimmy's costume and was seen in the opening credits, but after that, he probably lost it. Option 2: Something the character wears from time to time when he's in a musical number. Option 3: How Jimmy looks pretty much 90% of the time.

How, if you're considering it, would paint apply to these? Would they each be individual styles, or are you only going to make one?
hi guy s i am look 4 feed bakc on my newitem picture:
