mods.tf is for cosmetics only, as the upload system relies on the importer

Due to the gold star zip not supporting weapons, you won't be able to upload to mods.tf If you make any cosmetics, feel free to send me a PM. :smile:
Unfortunate, but understandable. Hopefully Valve supports weapons with the importer soon. Though admittedly part of the fun of modeling them is not having to worry about [del]meeting arbitrary, rigid limits that result in punishment of creativity and ensure workshop submissions can't do what the mods they're meant to replace can[/del] Gold Star.

Had an interesting idea while in an insomniac stupor. Forgive the image quality, I don't have a scanner. And also proportions aren't 100% largely cos I just wanted the design on paper before I forget, and it's about 4am and I'm really super tired. With that out of the way, here's the Ishii no Ken [t]http://i.imgur.com/pkwQIFf.jpg[/t] After watcing some of Uncle Dane's "ninjaneering" videos, I thought of a ninja-themed Engineer set (with possibly a pistol that could work with the Ninja Scout set already ingame, but that's getting a little ahead of myself). The Ishii no Ken is a combination of a pipe wrench and a katana (the idea being that if you closed the jaw of the wrench it'd look like a complete katana blade. The jaw is too long in the pic cos dumb and tired). Looking for critique and ideas more than anything. I think it's a really neat idea, and after MUCH refining I'll probably get to it fairly soon.

The main reason for doing so whas the fact that because engineer is more of a "defending" character it made more sense to give him a tool that would help him trap, block, and disarm his opponents while protecting his nest, which is what the said was designed to do. Also traditoanlly the sai is mostly used for striking and bludgeoning, which also fits right into place with engineer's usual melees. I also had intentions of making another weapon, possibly kinda strange, a gravity-fed pump-action crossbow, but i just haven't gotten around to it yet. maybe there could be a hole in the middle of the blade with some tape wrapped onto it, it'd make holding the wrench part less risky and double as a bladed handguard
