Photoshop Elements 11. Because money. :') It gets the job done just fine, no need to go all out with a full set just for texturing TF2 items (IMHO).
I need help with rigging most specifically the arms Help would be appreciated
Match the topology of your item with the scout's topology as best as you can. (I usually just duplicate the arm mesh and make it a tad bit bigger so it carries the same weights and has the right topology) then just double check each vertice has the right weights; looks like some on the forearm and getting pulled by the hand bones.
I appreciate the effort, FP, but I don't think that was an appropriate time... Anyways, onto some Frontline stuff, I'm working with QuestionablyInsane on my Sniper set The Kokoda Tracker, and I just want some advice on what I've done with the coat: This is a screencap from the other day, and I'll note that I'm going to open up the front of the coat so more of the Sniper's team coloured undershirt shows, but other than that I'm pretty proud of the progress I've made? My only inquiry is that should I ditch the team coloured armbands and have a red stripe going down the sleeve or leave them on?
whys the belt so high up
whys the belt so high up
That's a coatbelt, which is a bit above the waist as seen here: Looking at it now, I should probably make it a bit thicker and more matching with the rest of the coat's colouring...

I was happy to see the Frontline project, so I've decided to finally get off my fat bum and learn content making! Starting with mapping! Using Crash's tutorials, I began the process of making my first room and other stuffs. [t]http://i.imgur.com/uat7HST.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/80x39Er.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/a2DOMdx.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/ujViVlK.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/iPc0OZs.jpg[/t] I'll continue learning tommorow, and I think my very first map will be a CTF map for simplicity's sake. Is this the wrong section to post about map stuffs? or is it ok to post it in here? I don't normally check the emporium.
Hey I was told to come post this here. Im learning to make tf2 items and just finished my first hat. I would really like to make a SFM poster for it to show it off but google isnt really helping me figure out how to get my model I made in blender into Source FIlmmaker. Is there a better way to do it? Any help would be greatly appreciated
While I'm working on another idea for a Frontline set for the Pyro, I'm designing a flaregun (Inspired by this) and a melee to go along with it. My main enquiry here is would it be possible to model the first design with a more straighter grip, or would the traditional, more curved option be the preferred way to go?

Also I'd keep the 2 stage on the barrel like the reference has, makes for a more interesting barrel

X-Post from Frontline thread.
Now YOU can be the legendary (and totally real, don't question it) Colonel that defeated the world's other greatest enemy, HUNGER! Was a joke concept and kinda started rushing it at the end, as you can see with the shirt. That said it's still up for grabs. :v:

[t]https://i.imgur.com/ABissFb.png[/t] Yo I want to do this one
Alright! Add me on steam and we'll get started.
[thumb]http://i.imgur.com/ooGH1P5.jpg[/thumb] Another "for the lawlz" -project. A captive bolt pistol modified by the engineer to actually shoot the bolt rather than just slightly extrude it outside the barrel. If anyone were wondering how this thing works, there's a small magazine full of blank pistol rounds inside it's grip to propel the bolts
X-Post from Frontline thread.
Will the name be Kentucky's Freedom Captain? :V Jokes aside, interesting concept. I'd reclaim that if I wasn't shit at making hairpieces.
