Hmm taunt idea. All classes walking around with trick or treat baskets?
Hmm taunt idea. All classes walking around with trick or treat baskets?
Having them eat the candy themselves, or throw it out to other people would look more interesting, but do you have enough time to animate an all-class taunt this close to the update?

I'm still waiting for ike to make a Skullomania set.
Anyone knows what might be the cause of an item positioned correctly in blender
[t]http://puu.sh/rIBuF/6416eba673.jpg[/t]
showing up like this in the importer?
[t]http://puu.sh/rIBQW/5e16a6432d.jpg[/t]
actually, just noticed now-
it's not even loading the actual model im setting, I tested it by simply exporting a sphere and loading it as the TV, and the TV still shows up like this.
I really need your help
thanks
[editline]14th October 2016[/editline]
tried to load the file again, now it simply shows an ERROR model, but still works fine on the other classes

I am okay with this.
Hey guys, I have this annoying problem with my models jigglebones that I just can't figure out.
If I apply a jigglebone of any kind, (I've tried several of my own, several ones straight copy pasted from other tf2 models qc files) the model flattens and starts rapidly spinning around the character
This is what it looks like for most of the time:

This is what it should look like:

Has anyone here had the same problem? I hope someone can think of a solution, this issues really annoying and I would love to get this out to the workshop before halloween.

I know it's not related to your submission, but now I want a group taunt for TF2 based off the Camelot song/dance from Monty Python's the Holy Grail. I'm blaming you for this idea lol.

Wunderwaffe DG-2 teasers. W.I.P.

I worked on this for over a month now (I am a slow modeler) and I am working on the textures now.
I had to split the textures so that is why the model is multi-coloured.
I know the lamps are missing, I had to remove them because I need to work on their UV maps.
I need some feedback on the model. It will replace Engineer's Pomson and it will have custom particles and animations. I am working with someone else on this mod.
Sorry if I mess up any formatting, I'm new to facepunch.

The prongs and the wires could do with thickening up, they're a little thin for TF2's proportions.
The prongs and the wires could do with thickening up, they're a little thin for TF2's proportions.
I tried it, the proportions get messed up and it causes clipping problems. I'll leave it at the current thickness.

Could you compile it as is? It's a great way to see if things need adjusting.
Could you compile it as is? It's a great way to see if things need adjusting.
I won't compile it until animations and textures are done. Then I can adjust it until it fits well.
I won't compile it until animations and textures are done. Then I can adjust it until it fits well.
That's not a good idea. Valve doesn't accept animations and if you don't test your item then won't know if anything is wrong with it and you'll waste time much time on having to model your item again and make new textures for it.

I'm not going to upload this to workshop because
1) Model has too much polygons
2) Model has 6 materials on it...
3) Valve doesn't accept mods like this
EDIT: HLMV doesn't work for me so I won't be able to test my item consistently without having to reload and reload and reload the game. I'll just use Blender to check the mistakes.
Snip-O
Alright! I didn't say upload this to workshop and your other reasons are redundant if your testing your item within the game engine using ItemTest.
Edit: I think maybe it would be better to move this conversation to private messages.
I started texturing the handle/wood.

Feedback on it? First time texturing wood so idk if it looks good or nah.

Here's a discussion point for other contributor's I've wanted to do for a while
How do you guys like to do your HLMV previews for your workshop submissions? I have a handful of pre-made backgrounds I use and recolor as I please for each event and season, and I always use the Molot font for all of the preview text I use
[T]http://puu.sh/rK3XA/fd75af7cdc.png[/T][T]http://content.altfonts.com:88/img/M/O/MolotA.png[/T]
not pictured: the dozens of recolors I've used in the past for specific submissions (such as the mad dog's red background)

I just made low contrast backgrounds based on the context of the item eg halloween map for hween items, brick for medieval, etc
if all else fails a dark gradient works too

I typically like to just have a solid color that compliments the feel of the set with a b/w gradient that is set to soft light. If I have a theme then I might do something different like just a solid color or using one of the map textures for a background and a radial gradient or just diagonal over it.
These are some of my more favorite ones.
