I'm surprised nobody's used the carnival assets to make an actual carnival map instead of just Doomsday reskinned

I'd like to see people make a map with Rottenburg's assets.

I always thought it would be cool to use that giant hammer in MVM to destroy tanks.

Helmet could use a redo. Doesn't look to good atm.

This is really just me finding it kinda funny, but one of my earlierst concepts was Speed Racer Scout and this helmet kinda reminds me of it.

Not making a comparison at all about this, just found it a bit humorous to me

The visor could do with being a lot lower, or the goggles could be made bigger. Having that big of a gap and showing his forehead looks a little odd.

You're gonna have to be a bit more specific
Well the shape of the helmet looks like a duck thats stuck permanently looking up after smashing its face against a brick wall.
Which is a rough way of saying that the current shape of it doesnt resemble the helmet you pictured.
Pay some more attention to the brim, it's lower on the head and the brim is way more pronounced.
The helmet itself also looks oddly squashed, along with a smaller detail of the strap of the goggles dissapearing underneath he helmet.
Snip-O
Alright! It doesn't look round enough and the brow is higher than the googles along with it looking swashed, but the googles and straps are perfect!
Here's my suggested fixes.

To be fair, I cut off the strap in the places you can't see it

idk what these are, you aren't really learning anything if you're not texturing on actual meshes
idk what these are, you aren't really learning anything if you're not texturing on actual meshes
Was mostly just brush stroke practice.
Was mostly just brush stroke practice.
you dont practice brush strokes, you practice painting.
try to paint a wood texture or something, doing that you achieve nothing..

I give up. I'm pretty much doomed to fail at texturing no matter what I do to try and better myself.

stuff like this is why you dont progress, thats a really really lazy scratch, take your time to do stuffs, no matter if its takes you days. i will recommend you to watch how materials works and always look for references

Take this from the pioneer of the motion blur texturing (references to 6+ years ago ahoy!) You will get better, you just need to learn how things tick.
Firstly did you start from an AO bake or did you just literally paint over it?
Secondly there is zero shame in having textures accepted & used ingame as reference, these help keep you on track.
Thirdly when doing painted metal always do a simple metal texture first then paint a high opacity colour over the top, literally layer it as if it has been painted by an actual person.
Add slight colour variations onto the paint, paint will never dry at the same rate, and sometimes second coats and even thirds will show up as more saturated or even a bit darker.
Always take a step back and properly look at your texture, if you think a part looks really muddy and cloudy then redo it.
Remember that specular maps are half the battle; you can have a really great texture, but the specular map is what will really make it pop and shine.
Rome wasn't built in a day and neither was my bragging rights, you need to keep accepting failures and press on.
My first texture was some deviantart texture overlayed onto the sapper texture, and now I can be all "oh la-de-da look at my amazing painted metals!"

Completely unhappy with the colour scheme so far but eh
the diamond pattern might be too noisy
Doesn't the snow scoper have the exact same collar?
I didn't bother checking before but I guess you could say it's somewhat similar. I don't see the issue though
