Luxurious winter fashion for hunting the ladies Completely unhappy with the colour scheme so far but eh
It looks similar (but not VERY similar) to the Snow Scoper
it really just looks kinda like a sleeveless snow scoper like not to hop on the meme or anything but... it does like I assume the shoulders will be the paintable region. just paint it white and it's almost 1:1
Honestly, the only parts that resemble the Snow-Scoper to me are the collar and the jacket zipper area? Like yeah, those parts almost look like they're 1:1, but people seem to kinda be tricking themselves into thinking they're identical, but look... [t]http://puu.sh/s7MUu/128a4b4474.jpg[/t] [t]https://wiki.teamfortress.com/w/images/c/c7/Snow_Scoper.png?t=20131221134504[/t] And I mean even if you paint the Snow-Scoper red to match the original sleeves color, or brown to match Bap's vest, it THEN looks like this... [t]https://wiki.teamfortress.com/w/images/4/40/Painted_Snow_Scoper_B8383B.png?t=20131223141408[/t] [t]https://wiki.teamfortress.com/w/images/9/9c/Painted_Snow_Scoper_694D3A.png?t=20131223141158[/t] So to avoid anyone still saying it looks like the Snow-Scoper, I'd suggest changing the collar and the zipper-area a little, or maybe change them to something else? So people aren't quick to make comparisons

So, uh... I did a thing, and I'm going to model it. What are your opinions on it? (Also, ignore the missing legs. I still need to figure out how to implement them while having them be the same length) EDIT: This is a miscolored Kiwi Bird, for those wondering.

I still need to figure out how to implement them while having them be the same length". I just HATE drawing various appendages lol. Also, I don't know why I drew wings... But I did? Apparently? I dunno. Either way, I'm modeling it RIGHT NOW so I can show you all a WIP in a little bit. EDIT: I'm working on a SUPER rough draft for it rn. I'm just trying to get the general shape right. I need to completely redo the beak imo, but what do i know.
There are many ways to stylize a kiwi bird. Here's an example from one of my favorite pieces of melancholy humor.
I made another version, which looks quite a bit better, and isn't just two spheres haphazardly slapped together. I should make the beak longer, either way. EDIT: ❤ that video XD
A new version (Claimable still)
[t]http://i.imgur.com/r3EC6ek.png[/t] Gave it another shot.
Snip-O
It's about time you started texturing an item, because without putting what you've learn into practice you'll only hold yourself back.
Idea's good, but I feel it could benefit from use of colors to give the texture artist an idea of what it'll look like.
I agree with you, but as this concept is on paper, i dont have that much of a variety of different colored pencils, so one who makes the texture could misunderstand my message about what i want it to be colored like. But I will try to do my best.

I'm not sure what's available artwise in Finland, but if you can, get your hands on a 12/24 pack Faber Castell pencils: They're good quality, sturdy and can be reasonably priced depending where you can get them. (Iunno why I'm doing advertising at the moment I just thought it'd seem important)
Snip-O
It's more pratical to save for a wacom tablet.

While we're on the subject of art programs, I really should recommend FireAlpaca. It's a free painting software that allows you to mix colours smoothly and adjust/import your own brushes in to get your own effect, much like Paint tool SAI but a bit more limited with specific options. It's a good program to start out with, especially if you can't afford to invest in PS

I decided to revamp the Pyro Cat beanie one more time to get rid of the side straps, since they've been bugging me since the beginning. Up for grabs. [img_thumb]https://puu.sh/s9neI/4b31d92e01.png[/img_thumb]
Started working with Retro on a new King of the Hill map: Slaughter! So, I managed to color my weapon with colored pencils I have found at home, and this is the result. What do you guys think? Is it good? Or is it bad?
use your voting rights [t]http://puu.sh/s9IRK/d095f735a2.png[/t]
disagree but use a more washed out dark blue (a la soldiers pants) The issue is I like agree more but the red tint on it won't match any of the blu classes at all, seems like you could fix it by just tinkering with the blue version to be more constrasting
