A lot of the forms in this hat are very large and blown up looking, The whole thing kinda looks like its made out of marshmallow in its current state.
Personally I think you should try reducing some of the shapes and add some creases and folds in order to make it look more like fur and fabric.

Out of curiosity, is the star on the cylindrical badge part of the cylinder's mesh or is it floating right above it? I imagine the front of that cylinder would waste a ton of tris if it's the former, and if it's the latter, I don't see how this should be above like 900 tris out of a max of 1400. Perhaps there are a lot hidden on the underside of the hat?

Nope, and it's not really based on any revolver in particular, just wanted to design a stylished and light stealthy gas revolver. I know the silencer wouldn't silence that much, but I put it to help the silouette and add an over-the-top spy-fiction look. Normally people make poison dart pistols, but I wanted a revolver. Now I think about it those aren't even the most recent and updated images of the model, I have to fix that.
Re-releasing the mini dispenser model, since Karma Charger wanted to do a demo video of it but the model had some bugs, made some fixes as Valve changed how the sapper placement works, now all the sappers properly attach to it, it replaces all the dispenser levels and included in the VPK the HUD icons made by Frying Dutchman!

For the sapper attachments, since Valve added new sapper models they changed how that works, you need to add the sapper_placement model's bones to your dispenser's (or any kind of engineer building) rig.

It used to be a static mesh that was pre-placed for each different building (sapper_dispenser.mdl and sapper_placement_dispenser.mdl, [U]don't use these![/U]), now instead there's [I]sapper_placed.mdl [/I]and [I]sapper_placement.mdl[/I] which have their own rig, you just need to import that model, place it over your building model and include the posed bones into your building rig.
Ingame the model then gets automatically attached (pretty much like cosmetic items do) it justs attaches to the same bone names it finds on the model its attaching to.

This change will bring a lot of customisability available to the users including the creation of their own subforums like the Overwatch or Music forums.
To get to the point this would allow the Emporium to possibly move to it's own TF2 modding subforum.
However seeing as the activity of TF2 modding has declined over the years including most of the regulars within the thread, I'm of opinion that the Emporium should stay within the TF2 section.
I'm posting this to get some discussion going, if people would prefer a subforum please post and argument why it would be benefitial.
Keep in mind that the switch of facepunch to the new system could still be months away.

Someone has emailed them about SCA and sent them an old copy of my Heavy animations, and they said to just compile all of the animations like normal instead

Cream part should be paintable in my hot opinion, as black looks nice with every color. However, a fairly straightforward solution is to make two different paint styles
