I like the second one personally, and on that one, the band could be a darker shade of grey, like the dark grey on the goggles themselves, and anything team-coloured be paintable.

I guess hit me with a friend invite, but right now I am taking a whack at doing it myself as I might as well just learn how to do it.
Mostly just need a good idea of how to place the strokes and shit.

I know you [I]personnaly[/I] dislike that filter, but I'm really used to a certain type brush (that makes the coloring blury sadly, but more instinctive)
I don't see what is wrong on using it, since the concept get (generally) transmitted well.
But I will give a try on hard edge painting anyway.

I don't think it's a "personal" taste thing, but that's irrelevant
Just try to get some sharp basecolour shapes to define the edges (you can just make those with pen tool, or however you prefer), then use your painting methods to go over them. Should make stuff like the filters a. much better shape wise, they're pretty blobby now, and b. define the edges sharper
Will give a try to that method.

The lights are far too small. Things in TF2 are big and chunky, like the characters, and all the weapons use the same sized lights.
Also, the box on top is actually a needle disposal bin, not an ice box.

Judging by how the model is based off of spy_reference, an actual spy model used when making items in Blender, the tri-count should be 2946, as listed in the image.

Actually I agree with him, as I expect others do too. It's a mediocre supplement for detailing-it looks sloppy and hard to read. You have a lot more control over your concept if you learn how to fill in little details manually
