Came up with a new look for the scout, someone suggested I change out the boots, so, I went with the Red Socks and painted them gray. Also found a killstreak kit for the freedom staff with cerebral discharge. The electric effects are just for fun, though.

Change up [I]Antartic Researcher[/I] for [I]Tools of the Trade[/I] and add [I]El Patron (Pecurliarly Drab Tincture)[/I]

Well here are some of my favourites and why:
Mr.Higgins' detective Engineer: very original use of the Buckaroos Hat (even though I feel like the Crosslinker's Coil would look better) and a good way to prove the Macho Mann's and Holstered Heaters' versatility.
Mort Stroodle's Space Marine Demoman: the fact that he managed to make the medal look so good is what truly makes that loadout amazing; the problem with medals is that you could put that third slot to better use but that loadout proves otherwise IMO.
Mattscreab's disappointed dad: I did not like the loadout that much but I just want to say that it reminds me of this:

About my loadout (Lumberjack Engineer): I just felt like using the Dad Duds for something that isn't a casual look and how I used the paints is original and the fact that there were little to no uses of a Mann's Mint kept me awake at night, now I can rest. Oh and I love the beard but, as I previously said, a style that removed the lights would be great.

The idea was a spellsword but it didn't really work out. Do you think this would get the point across better? Or maybe the point and shoot instead of the cowl.

And before I announce the winners, I need to say a few things. The theme was 'Original and in general good-looking', but I found it hard to really judge loadouts based on this. Does original mean that I don't see the cosmetics that often? Does it mean that the combination has to be original? Does funny mean original? It's just hard. This is why I've decided upon a few loadouts which may or may not surprise you!
First, on the third spot, I've decided upon the [B]'Elvis' loadout by An Eyewitness[/B].

It didn't get a lot of attention / praise (with the little icons), which is something that held me back from choosing it. Still I thought it deserved a place, because I've almost never seen an Elvis loadout for the Heavy in game. And I can't recall the last time I've seen a loadout like this one on Facepunch (long time lurker, so don't pay attention too much to when I joined).
So in originality it's good, and on top of that I really think it's a pleasing loadout to look at! A lot of the other loadouts hovered around this level though (for me), so think to yourself that you belong on the third spot too only without a prize. Examples are the detective engi, shotgun-centric soldier, the jamie engi (it's funny but the gimmick has worn off for me pretty quickly), the disappointed dad, the farmer, etc.). But this one just stood out to me a bit more than the rest. Now to the second spot!
The winner for the second spot goes to... [B]the Viking Medic by Tabby![/B]

This loadout was overall very wholesome. It really gives me that feeling which I can't describe. And to be honest I've never seen something come close to this in TF2. It's original, funny and also good-looking. Congratulations! (And I know for the record that Tabby made the helmet himself, so he must have had a good vision in which loudout it'd fit when making the helmet). And now for the first place...
For the winner of this mildly mediocre contest we have....[B] the Space Marine Demoman by Mort Stroodle.[/B]

There are many things which are wrong (IMO) with this loadout. The pin doesn't belong in this loadout (again, IMO). His head is still a bit 'empty' and doesn't really fit in the loadout. The rest of his body is also not that themed (you can say the same thing about Tabby's submission though). But what really made me make this loadout the winner for this contest was the combination of the MK-50 and the Juggernaut Jacket. Many space-themed / airplane dude / youknowwhatimtryingtosay loadouts that I've seen pretty much fail. You can go with your usual Captain Space-Mann + Space Diver / Rocket Operator / any other cosmetic from that particular invasion crate.
I haven't seen a combination come close to this one. Yeah sure, Tabby's submission was a viking-ish medic but people have tried to re-create vikings. I doubt that Elvis has been covered at least once. Same goes for disappointed dads, detective engineers, etc. The combination is simply so good and natural that it trumps the rest. Original? Yes. Good looking? Yes. Does everything fit together perfectly? No. But I asked for something else. And they delivered.
