i've been messing with color palette ideas in my brain for loadouts. I like the pink colors, specifically the lighter pink, but I know how eye-gouging the darker, more vibrant pink .

How do these look? I'm a fan of the middle one the most, but I can understand why people wouldn't like the vibrant pink in any context.
I like the far left. I don't think the pink looks good, it stands out way too much from the rest of the sniper. It's not that bad though, the far right one is absolutely horrible. Why is sniper dipping his beard in pepto bismol?
i would say the salmon works perrrfect but on sniper it looks like the color blends with the snipers skin too well
Neither of those are salmon and I really don't like salmon since it's more orange than pink.

I came up with this one for the Heavy, I used the Airborne Attire, the MK50 helmet and the Combat Slacks.The MK50 helmet is a must-have for all classes in my opinion. Hope it helps.

Whatever you do, don't put Pink on a hair item (unless it's the mohawk, and even then YMMV)
You can give him a hot pink bandanna or hat or some pink pants, but a pink beard will always look utterly hideous.

What's the closest paint to the orange on Pyro's grenades and suit trim? I wanted to do a firefighter loadout but I wanted to use the D-eye-monds instead of the Fireman's Essentials as I like Pyro's default oxygen tank.
Orange or Cream Spirit, depending on whether you want a clean Orange on both teams or want the colors to match Pyro's grenades more.
One thing to note about the orange on his grenades and the Turnout's trims is that they change with team color, similar to Cream Spirit, so that may be the best color to go with for consistency's sake.

However, if those colors seem to dissuade you, you could always paint the D-eye-monds Aged Moustache Grey, which surprisingly gives them a more diamond color than before. Plus it also goes with the grey of the grenades and trims.
