If you didn't want anyone to use your idea, just do it quietly without posting any development screens until release\final product.
Because hell, everyone can do whatever they wish to do, and if it is better than your sample you should accept that and if its worse you shouldn't be an asshole about it, as far as I can see it, every single person on the emporium can work around the same concept, but that would be stupid and unproductive, much like the drama and whining that have been going on here for too long instead of actually DOING something.
Here's a plan, you see someone start working on the same concept as you? before bursting into tears,ask him if he wants to work together! if he doesn't, just continue your business instead of pouring a hot mix of drama onto the thread.

It's kind of hard to get feedback on a model with noone to show it too. I can't deal with that, I trust the community over my judgement.

I want to model it, ever know the reason somebody wants to model something? Either because they find it fun or they want to make models for the community. No it's not, my reason for making things is so people will use them, just because I want people to use my stuff doesn't make me bad. I make them for fun, but I also make them so people will use them, and it kind of takes the fun out when people try to spite you.
