BigBadRick: Sorry about the spec map, I've just found out that my photoshop doesn't actually export any information in the alpha layer - explains why my spec maps are always off.
Guess I'm gonna have to use vtf edit to sort this out
Yeah pogo, just save the image with the alpha layer as a tga, then import into vtfedit.
That's the plan - wish I'd known about this earlier, I've always been annoyed by how bad my spec maps look in game.

It'll be distinct and unique enough with the texture it's getting.

seems the regualr icon is the same size as the large variant...?
or your filling out all of the canvas size rather then keeping it as large as the original ones
make sure both the canvas and icon are the same size as the original ones
