Press the print screen button on your keyboard when you have a good pose. Go to any art program, even Paint, and go into Edit, then select Paste.

Hit the button.
Open up any image-editing program, like MS Paint or Photoshop, doesn't matter.
Press and hold Control.
While holding Control, press V.
Edit out the corners and stuff you don't need.
Save.
Open in Photoshop (if you didn't already)
Edit.

Also a little tip for everyone. Go into your graphics card control panel (ATI or Nvidia logo in your system tray) and configure your card manually to the highest settings. Max out every option that is set to "Application controlled".

I used Mdlviewer my custom Scout model which has body poses (the head follows you etc).

I took the textures for the HWM models and blended them in Photoshop till I had the texture for the expression I wanted then spruced up the old Scout VMT so it was using the HWM models exponent maps and fancy features.

Here's how the texture looks without posing.

Then just pose it in Mdlviewer after fiddling around with the lighting settings and screencap it. I'd recommend Zscreen over the printscreen button since you can drag over bits of the screen you want to save and do all sorts of other nifty things with it.

There is no free version unless you have a Mac, in which case you have Photoshop CS or whatever
