It's odd that they added this:

I mean, I get it, it's an awesome picture and looks great as a wall piece.
It's just none of those items were added to the game.
I'm not speculating they will be but still, odd.
cactus canyon maybe...
So what do people want to not be in the update? Personally, I feel like tiered cosmetics and items that don't fit the artstyle shouldn't be in it.
This more than anything. I'm sorry, but things like the banana hat are just too far fetched. They don't fit the artstyle of the game in the slightest, and I hope that more hats like it don't get added.

I know this is a stretch, but what if the update is Wild West themed? If this item is in the update, it could be in a wild west set. On top of that, maybe Cactus Canyon could also be the map that fits the theme Valve is going for. Maybe even the Engie revolver could be part of it.

Aw ye this is gud. Though I wonder if it'll cost me extra since it's using pounds and not the US Dollar. (Sorry if i'm being dumb :v:).
That poster was added ages ago back when the merch workshop first started, it's nothing new.

Part of me wants Valve to do the cosmetics, but I also remember that our community is full of talented people who could do better than them (no offense to Valve employes who might be lurking atm)

That, along with most (maybe all) of the stuff recently added to the merch store, are things WeLoveFine picked and added to their store and are just now arriving in Valve's official store. Were it up to Valve I doubt a promo pick for a set that isn't in game would be picked to be added (as amazing as both the poster and the set itself look), but WeLoveFine's folks were probably just looking for things that looked cool and either didn't know or didn't care that it involved a set that wasn't in-game.
If it's tonight, it will be happening within the hour. Hold on to your hats.

I really have a good feeling Valve may add a new weapon or two, but only if they are confident with the balance changes.
All I want this year is a Melee weapon case with Unusual Pans. EDIT: Could even be with multiple skins a la CS:GO knives.
What I want in the new update in terms of items
1. Community made Weapon skins
2. Unlocked weapons can have skins
3. VALVE made hats
4. New weapons (unlikely but possible)
Heck, while I'm here, why do people dislike the skins? I personally like them, and they are a great addition to TF2. However, I feel like the distribution could be changed so we can get older cases and campaign collections once they are "retired".

I don't want it to be 6v6 centered but it seems like that's going to be the case for now. I also really hope they don't nerf Heavy

I hope 9v9 (highlander, not something different) is in the final release. I feel like I would have a lot more fun in MM if the games would be longer, and typically HL takes a bit longer than 6s.

This would be a very bad idea
This would be a very bad idea
There would have to be certain regulations but I think it could work.
All I want is to the vaccinator to be effective against melee
So what do people want to not be in the update? Personally, I feel like tiered cosmetics and items that don't fit the artstyle shouldn't be in it.
Tiered cosmetics just shouldn't even be a thing. Like, I wish I could wear some of the lower tier stuff (that looks better than some of the higher tier stuff, in my opinion) in the cases without feeling like people think I'm poor or a noob or something like that. It would also give people more of a chance of getting the cosmetic they think looks best a better chance of actually getting it, rather than now where you have to pay 30 dollars just for a high tier cosmetic. I just think it'd be nice if they went back to having non-tiered cosmetics where one cosmetic isn't "better" than another.
This would be a very bad idea
On the face of things: yes.
But at the same time I've had enough of every case reward being a skin for a stock weapon I already have a dozen of. Think of all the scattergun variants there are.
I'd appreciate a little more variety.

Personally. I saw it as another method for Valve to make money without much effort, a majority of the skins came out looking SUPER tacky, and because we don't need 50 reskins of stock weapons each update when we already have stock reskins to last a lifetime.
Just a quick thought: The Highlander Open event starts July 10 and lasts for over a month, I believe the update will come before then as I doubt they would do balance changes during an event.

Tough Break definitely had more quality skins (Warbird case)
All I want is to the vaccinator to be effective against melee
I feel like it is that way just as a reward for anyone brave enough to melee a medic/patient pair.
I doubt it's happening tonight. now watch it be tonight. I feel like this update has been over hyped now, whatever Valve releases will disappoint a lot of people.
I have no idea what to expect other than matchmaking, asteroid being finished and a nod toward MvM would be neato, or that next chapter of the comic por favor valve

Earlier would be nice too so the players have more time to adapt

Yeah, the first attempt was a mix of good and bad, but I thought they turned that around with Tough Break.

Pessimistic POV: They're waiting until the Open is finished to release the update so a ton of rebalances aren't dropped on people days before a huge competitive event.
Unrelated but the valve store updated with a ton of new tf2 merch.
Why does the blue version of the Soldier Bucket shirt turn him into a black guy?
Also whats with the excessive Balloonicorn stuff? Pyroland isnt even available in every official map.

OR it means the update comes after the event
