It's a loss of convenience at no actual gain.

It opens that "private" door to get into the secret room. The wall blocking it off seems to be solid. [del]EDIT: Goddamnit, Tags seem to break the image? It was the OVER-hyping that caused the extra disappointment. ESPECIALLY with this same thing happening with almost every TF2 update ever. And some of the community even warning others that it isn't going to be as good as you would think.

Hmm, you know... the update page implied that all weapons that weren't strange were getting strange variants... but still no Strange Tide Turner, or Sun-on-a-Stick. Plus no strange versions of reskins like Nessie's Nine Iron or Postal Pummeler.
Some of these rebalances seem pretty interesting but some seem downright strange. I guess I'll have to spend more time playing the update to really get a good feel for it.
personally I think quckplay being removed is pretty good for the community in the long run, it (in theory) drives a LOT of traffic back to community servers for people that want drop-in-drop-out gameplay which they desperately needed. hopefully it's enough of a hole in the market big enough to bring back small, high quality community servers they wont be completely overshadowed by quickplay doing their job but better.

I know people have said it before, but the absurdity of a Comp mode with no prizes or stats whatsoever just finally hit me and I don't think I've ever been more confused in my life.

I want to hear the team's rational on most of these balance changes, most of them are just absurd and unnecessary. :/
It's interesting that b4nny himself is a bit uncertain of the balance changes considering he was the only of the few people who worked closely with Valve. (He's still gonna get blamed for the bad changes though)
Team Fortress 2 was a mistake.
the passtime achievement is a really tough puzzle. we got the door to open after trying for a hour but you need to do something else to turn on the tv
