Gonna post mine too while we're at it. [t]http://i.imgur.com/5mcFTKU.png[/t] It's mostly an excuse to finally change my spray. :v:
Anyone have a video of the new voice lines?
God, the wait for finding a match on a casual server is just terrible. :/
God, the wait for finding a match on a casual server is just terrible. :/
As far as I know there are a whole bunch of servers that are on 'Meintnence'. That's probobly why there are such long queue time.
I'm really mad about fucks on reddit complaining about casual when most people can't even play it. The queue times and stuff that's shitty judge that but don't actually whine you want the old quickplay when you can just go to the community servers that are now thriving! The launch of this update was well less than stellar but I have a feeling once everything evens out and the storm calms down I'll enjoy most of the new features and such and I hope most of you guys will too
Okay, thanks for ruining the most fun part of the bingo for me, by filling out my own bingo for me?
Sorry I couldn't resist
I guess the major problem right now is the matchmaking sending people to servers around the world.By the way, why is this happening, why I can't join a casual or competitive match in Brazil and not get sent to Europe ?
Anyone have a video of the new voice lines?
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ArChK-OyIC8 that's all of them
all this communist heavy propaganda is sort of strange wasn't heavy a counter-revolutionary
all this communist heavy propaganda is sort of strange wasn't heavy a counter-revolutionary
Yeah but I feel the communist propaganda was thrown in just for goofs and such (and cause it's probably easier to do and Valve probably doesn't care about the canon)
where did the server browser go
I just launched the game for the first time in ages and I can't connect to the coordinator...
where did the server browser go
It pops up when you click community servers
I just launched the game for the first time in ages and I can't connect to the coordinator...
Servers are fucked because probably a record number of people within the year started the game and are almost all trying to play casual or comp leading to GC crashing from the overload or something

Are you sure they have an effect on matchmaking?
Servers are fucked because probably a record number of people within the year started the game and are almost all trying to play casual or comp leading to GC crashing from the overload or something
The playercount is almost the same as before, I don't think that's the reason. They do this every time. I might even get worried if they didn't shit themselves after an update for once.
Wow great sun on a stick buff guys, I'm sure everybody thinks that having to hold your melee out and deal no appreciable damage to anybody for 10 seconds is totally worth 15 damage worth of afterburn resistance. That's going to save your life a lot and really looks like a reasonable alternative to a triple jump or faster medic ubercharge build.
don't know how people are taking so long to find competitive games, im getting them in 5 minutes
This might sound biased coming from someone who voted Pyro, but I feel like judging people for voting Pyro instead of Heavy is kinda rude. Don't get me wrong, Heavy needs some love, and I'll be happy for the big guy if he wins, but if someone legit enjoys Pyro more, then let them vote however they want.
Those are old commands, and in the past they were used to configure quickplay. Are you sure they have an effect on matchmaking?
Pretty sure they work, or I was just super lucky and got placed in decent servers for the past 5 comp games.
I bet most of issues gonna get fixed in a week, or maybe even shorter time. Issue No. 1 is GC freaking out. It's 100% gonna get fixed, since it's definitely not on purpose. Cmon' we had this before, MvM... Issue No. 2 are penalties for leaving casual games. Probably gonna get removed, since it's most hated feature of Casual Mode. Issue No. 3 are no Vote Kicks, no choosing map and no choosing only one gameplay. Some of those maybe will get fixed, but honestly I could live without it. In my opinion Casual Mode is needed in Team Fortress 2 because it's a lot more competitive than Valve Pubs before update for some reason. It's breaking point between casual game and esport (comp) game. I know, it's tough, changes are tough, but we need this if we really want to become esports. I don't think Valve will revert Quickplay. We will just get some fixes for Casual Mode, the community servers will have renaissance (new pubs), Matchmaking will get popular. GL HF!
don't know how people are taking so long to find competitive games, im getting them in 5 minutes
afaik we're talking about Casual not comp

You cast your vote and then you're pretty much done with the war, because the objective for it doesn't change how you play at all. You're already trying to score points, so you're literally just going to be playing TF2 exactly like you normally would. In the original WAR there was a secondary objective. Kill as many demos as soldier or soldiers as demo as you could. But in this war it's just vote and you're basically done. There's no interesting mechanics or goals. So without the shittalking the WAR might as well not even be happening. Don't take it too seriously.

Now it's just playing for who will get the update first. After a thought tho, I feel like it's a big reward, considering Valve Time...
I had made a deal with myself that if the next big update did not revive my interest in TF2, I'd sell the expensive stuff in my inventory to buy new games. I cannot truthfully say this update made me interested in playing TF2, especially when it removed one of the things that kept me coming back, the ability to just join a game for a while with no hassle and no queues.

Which isn't exactly as fun.
Haha, now the Liberty Launcher and Beggar's Bazooka will bother me because they're the only two rocket launchers without unique explosion sounds. Like the most petty of petty complaints (who even notices the other launchers have unique blast sounds?). Now that the Jumper is taken care of. Same for the ScotRes and other stickies, although it's missing a unique firing sound as well, which is a bit more important.
all this communist heavy propaganda is sort of strange wasn't heavy a counter-revolutionary
His father was, and then he was killed for it. Heavy most likely shares the same sentiment as his father though. Seeing as to how the Heavy and his family were thrown into a gulag he probably hates communism for tearing his life apart.
Got into my first casual match and... in all honestly I had a blast playing 12 v 12 payload on barnblitz... First off, I'm so damn glad they brought that hud element from comp over to casual matchmaking: [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/264967316453692165/3EE1ED8720D7D0DAD4069B1BCB1D524290D84790/[/t] As I mentioned before... IT's so damn useful! Who's alive, who's dead, what their health is ( great for when I run medic ), how long till people respawn in... This information is definitely important IMO. I like the clock mechanic as well, but I'd like to see it integrated between the characters so it clutters the screen a little less down the road. Also, I like the stopwatch payload honestly... It seemed more intense and I'd say less boring if one both teams just kept failing at getting to the last point... Over all though. I like it I guess... Just a first impression bare in mind and there definitely is a need for improvements. But I am willing to say I'm interested in seeing what happens next.
I for one hate stop watch on casual. The payload match I joined lasted about an hour because of it.
