I probably have like 500+ hours in vsh.

And this is why i think they should have included both, not replace quick play with casual mode.

Casual mode seems at the moment like a boot camp for comp.

I dunno if it can be fixed at this point. It's not a constant play the same map till server change and no really wants to fill gaps by people leaving early because "they quit". The instant you tie ranks, which in this I presume are there to help people play with similarly skilled players ( although, I don't think you can lose exp oddly ) it's kind of inevitable that you're going to have to do penalties for leaving.
During the Comp Beta leaving was a really huge problem even with all the penalties in place after all.
As for the no exp gain, I believe you'll see it kick in if you restart the game. You'll get it, it just doesn't show it right away.

Just out of blunt curiosity. How do you get payload maps to extend that long? It's on a set timer from the start that only extends if the offensive team caps or if it's contested at the end. I don't see how it's possible to extend the game mode beyond that...
Or are you talking about payload race where you have two carts?

It can go both ways, I don't like quickplay because it gave me and my friends an inferior experience with an improved service and tools at the cost of community servers, and yet I didn't complain about it.
I'm honestly really glad quickplay's dead, replaced with a system that let's me find games really easily (when the servers aren't borked) and removes all of the negative aspects of your casual pub gameservers (one sided stumps, team balance), and also giving room for community servers to return to fill in for pubs

How is the game unplayable? They are taking more serious turn and everyone bitched about quick play and auto balance for years and how tf2 needs comp and then it comes and we all bitch and complain.

Missing textures on HUD elements.
Having too many players using the Balloonibouncer causes the server to overload and crash.
Short Circuit changes never actually added to its attribute listing.
Not a lot of bugs but bugs nonetheless.
