Well he's not wrong about b4nny being a jerk. But his sense of game direction is fine. I'm willing to bet he didn't have as much input in the update as he lead us to believe.
Reserve shooter just didn't need giving to the pyro, the weapon itself is fine
Just remove it from pyro and give them a shotgun that resets afterburn based on how much damage is done per shot. This could actually make stock worth using.
It is really easy to not like some aspects of an update and put all the blame in ONE person
it's also easy to say something is shit and believe that is constructive enough to inform what about x you don't like

Edit: in competitive where advantages matter, that is
At the end of the day b4nny didn't have too much effect in term of balance change. You can see that he is surprised with a lot of the changes and flat out disagrees with some. I think they just consult with him about adding stuff.
He got them not to buff a weapon.... how can he have that much influence. [editline]9th July 2016[/editline] He has no love for anything not 6's. He doesn't care about the comics, lore, casual side, trading or any otger part of the community and it's frustrating that he can just tell valve not to do something and they listen. He also doesn't give a shit about non meta classes
He talked Valve out of buffing RS and devoted an entire video to Pyro balance, and regardless of what you think of it (I'm not a huge fan myself), it does show he does care about Pyro, a non-meta class.

I certainly can't see b4nny recommending them.
Lol of course all the new r/tf2 people rate dumb, b4nny is their idol', and he's an asshat and he can single handedly change the course of the game. Fuck him nobody deserves that influence.
Chill man, no need to insult people for their ratings. I do believe one person shouldn't have so much influence alone, even if he is a professional in a competitive scenario. I just think balancing should be decided amongst numerous professionals, not one comp pro and a handful of TFTeam. (With the choices TFTeam has made balancing wise, that's not a good thing).

Some weapons are just fundamentaly broken and what valve does is just duck tape solve the problem.
If my guess is correct and building uber is slower with afterburn because of -25% healing, then it would be somewhat OP. Edit: in competitive where advantages matter, that is
Only direct damage reduces healing
this is him. This is the employee who initially buffed the phlog. put him in a quarantine and send him away to dota/csgo please.
And then he created the csgo's r8 revolver
It's a bit early to think about that but what if 2016 festives were just festivizers that work all decorated weapons, plus australium and botkillers? :v:
Meh, no thanks... If they do more skins this year, I just hope they consider actual Winter or Christmas themed cosmetics that actually compliment the festive look. Only a few of the tough break and gunmettle. The only one I was even interested in was this: [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/264967316458231593/9692A93B5AE05ADBF51225D25BD0D4F34729BA01/[/t] Skin gives off a "carefully wrapped gift" or "Flannel" appearance. and not damn lava skins which is like the exact opposite of winter/Christmas lol... Not to mention more good weapons with festive themes too them. I'm still waiting for a Degreaser! This coming from someone who actively collects Strange Festives. ( 3 full sets, 2 mostly complete sets)
In addition to "festivizing" I wish there was a ... like a "haunting" that could be done. It wraps the weapon in an eerie glow (and all eerie items should do this IMO).
This might just be me, but I think the update might have broken botkillers. [T]http://i.imgur.com/0fOR7c4.jpg[/T] The sniper rifle is supposed to be rust, though it shows up as silver.
This either means that some programmer was just future-proofing the system because they're a smart programmer, and/or they have plans for more wars in the future.
this is the tf2 dev team we are talking about here
this is the tf2 dev team we are talking about here
I know you like to shit on Valve but they only hire very competent programmers
I know you like to shit on Valve but they only hire very competent programmers
This. The only problem with TF2 devs is that they are really slow, like watching paint dry slow.
I know you like to shit on Valve but they only hire very competent programmers
Still, as far as fixing old code goes, having sigsegv around to thoroughly explain why problems exist and the exact path to fixing them doesn't hurt.

[T]http://i.imgur.com/0fOR7c4.jpg[/T] The sniper rifle is supposed to be rust, though it shows up as silver.
Is that still the case ingame? Could just be a loadout bug (sorry, I can't check myself atm)
This. The only problem with TF2 devs is that they are really slow, like watching grass grow slow.
Fixed that for you. The team is great, but when you have nearly twenty years of code just laying on top of itsself, things get messy.
You'd think a man such as B4nny would suggest that they would nerf the Danger Shield, Razorback and the Crit-a-cola, but apparently he's been so used to them being banned in 6s that he probably forgot about them.

Oh but they did "nerf" the Crit-a-Cola--they appended a meaningless two second debuff to it and called it a day. I'm sure that decision really took three years to test and finalize. All of these balance tweaks could have been released months earlier; we shouldn't have had to wait this long for such tepid results.

It was simple! And then they changed it for unknown reasons and made it over powered and complicated. Just go back to how it was years ago...
If it's one thing you should all be aware of by now, it's that Valve never fully rescinds a course of action.

I'm still amazed that they touched the Carbine and Camper but not the DDS.
