if they really wanted to revamp the reserve shooter's stats, they aughta make it
+The less ammo your primary has, the higher damage it does
+can deal up to 30% more damage at 0 ammo
-33% clip size
+can now be equipped by heavy (with a hot hammer and sickle paintjob)
it would also have the name make sense with it being the reserve shooter and all
Remove the Reserve from pyro and give him a shotgun that does this instead.
Is that still the case ingame? Could just be a loadout bug (sorry, I can't check myself atm)
It seems like it only happens in the class menu, it looks fine in game.
Remove the Reserve from pyro and give him a shotgun that does this instead.
This is a big nitpick but isn't the hammer and sickle a symbol of Soviet Communism? Heavy is a counter-revolutionary so it wouldn't make sense for him to parading that around.
Anyone that plays Demo regularly, how comparable is the Iron Bomber now against Stock Grenade Launcher out of curiosity?
I don't have enough experience with the Iron Bomber and was hoping someone who was could fill me in...
Oh and another thing. The Buffalo Steak Sandvich--a weapon that forces you into melee on the slowest class in the game--somehow needs 25% damage vulnerability to balance it, but the Crit-a-Cola--a weapon that buffs its class's speed and damage overall--somehow deserves a piddling 10% damage vulnerability? What the heck?

What kind of mods are the most likely to cause crashes upon joining valve servers? I've tried to play competitive since the update, but I already got banned for 6 hours because my game keeps crashing, and I'm afraid of ending up being banned for like a week and then a month and then god knows whats the cap.

When you're discussing the quality of another person's code, you better be able to actually know what you're talking about.
Didn't we just controvert the lack of merit that particular argument has only a few days ago?
item server down for me
Not to dis on the speed boost of the Spy, but I really wished they focused on fixing the legless Demoman and headless Pyro disguise bug instead.
every game, especially games that have been continually built upon for as long as tf2, has bugs
every game, especially games that have been continually built upon for as long as tf2, has bugs
Except it has been those same competent programmers building it up.

I really want to be on your side of this but I really understand Johnny's position. I love TF2 and I understand it took nine years to develop, but Duke Nukem Forever took twelve and everybody's allowed to shit on it. He's just trying to point out how buggy the game is.
Except it has been those same competent programmers building it up.
and for the amount of additions over the years the code is pretty damn good
item server down for me
If everyone would announce it eact time it went down in the past 2 days, we'd have 3 new threads by now. It doesn't mean anything.

The game having bugs doesn't accurately reflect the quality of the programmers working on it.
I really hope we get a mod manager someday, like Xcom 2
Doesn't TF2 have spaghetti code at this point?

it's really more like a house of cards barely holding up, and lots of duct tape all around it

It's a long shot, I know, but it could have something to do with the MvM files being updated with the new siren sound, along with other things. I'm thinking there will be an MvM update around November, like Two Cities.

No. This standard applies to no other area of life.
If my car catches on fire after I put the key in the ignition, I don't need to be a mechanic to know something is wrong.
If the mouse I'm using suddenly crumbles in my hand after I play a game, I don't need to be a professional plastics producer to know it's bad.
If the chair I'm sitting in collapses after I put a bag down on it, I don't need to be a carpenter to know it's shoddy workmanship.
Quality can be apparent without knowing anything about the process of producing that product.
Has anyone posted about the new unused inspect anims? There were a ton of unused inspect anims before this update, but now there are even more now, at least for the Soldier.
More specifically the Buff Banner and the Conch specifically, under the names "item1" and "item2".

The analogy you're referring to would be like if you criticised someone's car making ability who has built a car because one of the wheels is a little flat.
Man, back in the days of the Fists of Steel, that Enforcer buff would have felt a lot better.
Right now it's basically just a counter for one specific weapon, although I kind of like the novelty of the weapon just being that strong that it rips through shields.

you mean back in the days when items had a clear goal, a clear downside and a clear benefit over half a dozen hidden gimmicks that have nothing to do with eachother

Let's go through them and check.
1. Dead ringer produced a deformed corpse and immediately gave away a spy attempting to get behind enemy lines. Rather broken considering how squishy Spy is and how he relies on stealth.
2. Medigun dick spy with medic cosmetics. Messes with weapon and class recognition in a game built from the start with a clear focus on instant threat identification, this bugs messes with that.
3. Soldier holding rocket launcher in the middle of the broomstick taunt. Once again if a player came around that corner he'd be rather puzzled as to whether that soldier was a real threat or not. Seconds matter in TF2.
4. Wrong weapon being held. I don't know of that engy is about to plop down a mini or is carrying his shotgun like a toolbox. This shouldn't happen.
5. 30 minisentries. That is all.
So no, not so much "one flat tire", more like the tires are made of styrofoam, the doors are nailed shut, and the radio only plays Tiny Tim.

actually sigsegv pretty much has concrete evidence on how trashy and inconsiderate things are coded in tf2
