why did they remove the fizzling stickies?
why did they remove the fizzling stickies?
I also wonder. It sorta feels like the fizzling stickies were the whole "quickie" part of the weapon, at least to me. Making you rush before they fizzle.
Are some of the new Stranges bugged? I can't find any Strange Sandviches or Strange Iron Bombers on the market. I even listed a Strange Sandvich of my own but it won't show up.
here is an iron bomber http://steamcommunity.com/market/listings/440/Strange%20Iron%20Bomber
Dominations/Revenge seems to not be available on Casual + Comp Servers, which hopefully was a mistake. Sure, leave it off in comp, but Dominations are something unique and satisfying to TF2. If you are going to leave in random crits, give me some Dominations aswell.
Wait. WHAT. Why in the fuck would they remove a feature that everyone loves?
accidentally carried over from competitive mode, i'd imagine, just like other serious-mode features like firstperson-only spectating
Wait. WHAT. Why in the fuck would they remove a feature that everyone loves?
If we are going to assume it wasn't a mistake - then maybe because they are distracting for some players? Some say they are distracting them from what is actually important, the objective, but given the fact that we have crits in Casual that reasoning would be rather stupid. I think I'll just email eric about this to confirm if its a bug or feature.
what i'd like to know is why casual games are suddenly using first to three wins after the last update instead of first to two like they were before no one is going to stick around to play five games in a row of something like 2fort or powerhouse (in fact, maps with really long round times like those two should really be using first to one instead, but that's another story)
I also wonder. It sorta feels like the fizzling stickies were the whole "quickie" part of the weapon, at least to me. Making you rush before they fizzle.
I always figured the "quickie" of the launcher was the faster arm time, and not the fizzle.
I also just noticed there is a "simplified" version of the Server Browser, they should really make that default.
Quickie is really only good for sticky sniping, if you use it like a stickybomb launcher to spam 'conventionally' you might as well switch back to default. That being said, it's not that good over sticky, it really depends on the demoman using it. I still think the fizzle should be back though.
Wait. WHAT. Why in the fuck would they remove a feature that everyone loves?
Salty players in casual maybe? And ashamed people in competitive? But that's not possible, i got dominated like 3 times last time i've played it

The loss of domination doesn't bother me that much
Yeah, I'll miss getting being dominated by someone who was never directly responsible for killing me and when they did, it was all from assists
I could have swore I saw Dominations in casual recently, and I've seen some people also seeing it. It must be a bug.
the domination and revenge music is some of the most satisfying music you can hear in TF2 though
Did they even update the voice codecs or are they still shit
Not to forget all the domination lines.
Did they even update the voice codecs or are they still shit
Still shit as before.
I hope this isn't true. I have Dominations parts on all my favourite stranges! :v:
Why is the counter should only be displayed when playing Pyro or Heavy though? The update didn't imply that web should be playing these classes more. Having an option to enable this on options would be nice.
Because it was like that during the soldier vs demo war
accidentally carried over from competitive mode, i'd imagine, just like other serious-mode features like firstperson-only spectating
That strikes me as odd, since no self-respective competitive player actually cares about dominations/revenge. Instead the focus is on how the particles floating above their heads (higher than unusual particles can sit) can reveal players who are behind cover without any indication that it's doing so.
Have they added lag compensation recently? I'm hitting a lot of shots that I normally wouldn't be making on 200 ping servers and the servers feel perfectly fine.
The loss of domination doesn't bother me that much
I'm in the same boat, got annoying when I kept getting the dominations when I'm destroying the other team pretty bad. Not to mention those ugly icons over their heads. I've been enjoying the game more now that they're gone, but I won't have an issue of them putting them back in for those who do enjoy them if I they're toggle-able to be kept off for people like me who don't want them back.
why not just make a way to turn dominations on/off visually in advanced options on the player's side? I always hated dominations because they just got me mad and distracted me from the objective, but removing them would be a real shame with there being domination strange parts all over the place and achievements requiring them.
did you guys know shortstop shove is just the slap command applied to the target?
no need to panic over dominations departure. they'll fix it as soon as somebody sends them an email.
