Day 1 is pretty meh to be honest - Pass Time and Matchmaking were already known to be in this update and we've been able to play them already. The maps are no-brainers for inclusion too - pretty much what you would expect from a competitive update.
That said, this is hardly Valve's fault - if beta testing means we get less exciting but more polished updates then that sounds like a pretty good trade-off to me. Hopefully Day 2 has something more unexpected in store.

Sounds to me like tomorrow we'll see all the new balance changes and fixes, along with any other goodies, taunts, new weapons if any, etc.
Rebalances are definitely coming. They said they aren't restricting weapons so some weapons are def gonna need to be changed so it's actually fair.

that scout doing the tom jones shuffle in the video looks awful, it doesn't look like valve's doing, and that makes me very suspicious
Day 2 must be dedicated to rebalances, taunts, and weapons.

It's not actually the mobile authenticator, you just need to add a phone number to your account, which is great for people whose phone can't have the app.

Making them less retarded. I am a bit sad to see the free nature of pubs go, but this will improve how we actually PLAY the game. I always hated joining completely empty servers, or having a good game with a server and then everyone leaving after the map changes. This'll definitely fix that.
Let's hope the matchmaking will actually thrive, unlike other game modes which have been added and withered away quickly. I have a feeling players will still seek out sites like tf2center/stadium.
