If Pyro and Heavy are going to WAR, then how come they're both BLU?
I don't believe we're gonna get a Heavy vs Pyro War, must be for something else related to competitive. Just seem outta place.
Wait. Do you guys realize? New heavy taunts!

Friendly fire is on

That image must be hinting at a Heavy buff.
Eh... I kind of like just jumping into rounds and jumping out when I get bored, so I hope there's some sort of mode like that staying around.
how is Pyro going to beat Heavy in a war, that doesn't seem fair lol
Heavy mows Pyro down. You have to have a particularly unaware Heavy for Pyro to do much of anything against him.
Heavy fights with pure bullets and sanviches. Pyro fights with the art of surprise. Both are essentually a mow-down class if you play them both right.

Well the two deserve some major balance changes, so a War between the two makes sense, espetially apart of the competitive update.

I mean, this isn't the first time we've had a straight-up vote (other than the Saxxies). The Scout Update launched with a poll asking which of the three weapons would be met at which achievement milestones.
With the whole voting aesthetic it seems like they'd probably want to get the community interested in deciding which of the two classes they tackle first, rather than which of them gets looked at wholesale. It being election year kinda solidifies that notion, but we'll have to wait for tomorrow to see.
People say no ones mains heavy and most people vote heavy to be the winner in the "War 2.0" update.
Heavy is fairly basic on how to run them is why. Most of what you need to know is shared between other classes as well, so grasping how to do it on them will transfer over to the heavy. It's also a lot easier to gun down people with the minigun since it's a very high DPS weapon that's fully automatic and hitscan.
It's fairly easy to pull off being "effective" in a normal pub setting.
Pyro on the other hand takes a little bit more effort to pull off, and in the long run can be shut down a hell of a lot easier then a Heavy can in a 1 on 1 situation. More so since the heavy at least has good range options and a high health pool to compliment him, while Pyro is going to have fun trying to get to the heavy if the heavy notices him first.
That's why people feel Heavy is going to trash this competition.
I think it's going to be a complete overhaul for both classes though, like engineer and spy got last update. More then just a "War" update like Soldier and Demo received...

People support heavy more then the man in a gimp suit with a flamethrower
Heavy's had a rough few years.

What if that's just one of the new taunts?
If you think about it Heavy needs Pyro to get rid of Grenades, Rockets, Stickies and Spys
He also protects the Medic in competitive, otherwise known as Heavy's 2nd Best Friend

No, that image means that they reverted demoknight nerfs :)
Can't wait to see the re-balances

I agree with this. The drop-in drop-out nature of TF2 is one of my favorite things about it, so I'm a little worried about that aspect of the game disappearing.
While I'm 100% on team pyro I still feel bad for both classes. Pyro has been an unreliable mess since day one and heavy has been getting almost nothing but painful nerfs.

What do you mean by bombs? Did spy get a new weapon to do pantie raids, kill fatties, and blow up entrances at banks?
already prepared for the update

backburner ftw
What if that's one of the new taunts?
I'm kind of surprised they didn't make a "Good Game" handshake taunt for competitive. Where they put out their hand to shake, and say things along the lines of "man, that was a fun match, look forward to seeing you again" or "great game! Can't wait to have another one!".
Maybe too similar to the high five taught perhaps?

Gonna use my Pyro taunt I made earlier this year for it... Maybe I'll try to do the change I wanted to make the "HUH" look more like charcoal.

"I am not a cook!"
Here's hoping they made the sun on a stick usable.
I reckon the new group taunt is a celebration taunt from that video the medic and pyro are doing.

have one where everyone has to line up and high five in a queue like at the end of a little league baseball game, complete with half hearted "good job" "you played well" and whispered cussing
its funny heavy is holding uncooked steak and pyro has matches on his stand. its like they need eachother
The sun-on-a-stick may get updated because if they are doing the War 2.0 thing pyro may make the a re-balanced sun-on-a-stick good.
What if that's just one of the new taunts?
Oh shit, what if the winner gets a taunt?
Wouldn't it be nice if they removed Random crits as well as Auto-Balance?
That would the Dream
What about the saxton hale model? Where does it fall into place?
Looking at the image again, Heavy and Pyro are both on BLU, so maybe it's a vote to see who gets more points like Overwatch's card system?

Those are from pre-existing taunts, Medic's is from winning at Rock-Paper-Scissors and Pyro's is when you initiate the Flippin' Awesome
