Knowing Kotaku it's probably not a joke
Just because it's sublte doesn't mean it isn't a joke. Kotaku isn't perfect but they're not so stupid they think TF2 came out after Overwatch.

Slightly off-topic, but the biggest thing that gets under my skin is the huge outpouring of mainstream praise Overwatch gets...for things TF2 already does, or has done better, for years now. That's always left a bad taste in my mouth, even though I enjoy both games. In other news, I'm back on the hype train! I was up super late, so I woke up and finally update info had dropped. I'm once more a happy camper. <3 (unless heavy gets nerfed again. i'm with exor on that one.)
If the Afterburner gets released, what if its secondary fire is the turbine spinning and blowing a large fan instead of an airblast? Fanning the flames to increase afterburn damage, at the cost of disabling/slowing down projectiles rather than reflecting them. EDIT: Also aim down to fly away.
When do you think will valve release the update in EST?

It sorta peeved me that in the comments section everyone was basically like "Yeah Overwatch is just basically TF3." And I see their point, but Overwatch isn't half as deep as TF2 is. While jump roping is cool, TF2 has a ton of other great mechanics, some modded in and some discovered on their own. So yeah I see what you're saying about people commenting praise for things TF2 has been doing for ages. Next thing you know Overwatch will add a horde mode like MVM and it will be "original." Yes don't nerf the heavy goodness gracious
You guys remember that conspiracy bulletin board that was randomly introduced a long while back? Heavy and Pyro were grouped next to each other on it. [t]https://i.imgur.com/ThC5Cih.jpg[/t]
what if valve pulled some capcom-tier trickery and have been planning literally every bit of lore and major update since TF2's release like capcom did with street fighter's lore
When do you think will valve release the update in EST?
2nd day will probably be tomorrow at 12 PM EST. Update will probably drop shortly after.

So it' very, very possible.
The death of auto balance makes me very happy, and I'm hopeful for War 2.0 Will competitive be behind a pay wall after all like MvM?

If the Afterburner does get released, I think the two flamethrower attributes added in 2014 would make sense together with it. The flamethrower spin-up time and the speed boost while firing. Together with whatever number adjustments it would need to buff or nerf it into viability it would be a really cool weapon to use. Zooming around as pyro sounds crazy fun. I like to imagine the spin up sound being the jet engine revving up.
Im more excited for the new taunts and balance changes than the competitive update itself.
I love Valve. There, I said it.
Only if you don't have a phone number tied to your Steam. This'll keep out hackers.
Out of my entire time playing the comp beta I only ran into one hacker, so hopefully this will keep just about all of them out.
I absolutely love how they handled the smurfing/hacking issue. They seriously nailed that.
Out of my entire time playing the comp beta I only ran into one hacker, so hopefully this will keep just about all of them out.
One hacker is one too many.
So if we participated in the beta, do we get a discount on the pass? Or is it free?
So if we participated in the beta, do we get a discount on the pass? Or is it free?
Free
Dope
the real question is: Is there going to be new stranges? probably not, probably yes, who knows.
So if we participated in the beta, do we get a discount on the pass? Or is it free?
Plot twist: What if all beta-passes turned into official comp passes Edit: mark my words
Man, I really want a comeback of Stranges.
the real question is: Is there going to be new stranges? probably not, probably yes, who knows.
If there are new skins those will almost 100% have a strange variant
If there are new skins those will almost 100% have a strange variant
But we're dreaming of panic attack, iron bomber and the others.
