Why everyone is suggesting that competitive will have a pay wall, the competitive scene is already small, and we alrezdy don't have enough players

A lot of the weapon models on the workshop are amazing to look at, but having a whole bunch of new shapes and sizes stand to confuse the visual vocabulary of TF2 even further than it already has been. It's gotten to the point where I truthfully play more by sound than what I actually see with my eyes, listening more to weapons fire and class voices and making decisions based off of that. I kind of hope they ban promotional reskins in comp play once that update's out. No frying pans, no fishcakes, no iron curtains, no severed spy arms, no AWPs. Just good visual clarity on what weapons the other players are holding - and maybe ensure that each shooting weapon really has distinct firing noises, on top of that.

Also Valve has a tendency to add an all-class looping taunt, look at Conga, Kazotsky Kick or Mannrobics.

All of them being from nearly a year ago. And 404 has a fantastic history of commenting reputable things on peoples profiles, right? edit: and one of them is a halloween taunt. Come on dude, this isn't news and it certainly isn't useful anymore

Reskins like the Postal Pummeler, Nine Iron, Fishcake, etc can already confuse things to a certain extent, and exacerbating that to a larger extent would only serve to further confuse things. If the models are different, they should have some logic to them that ties them to being a reskin of a particular weapon as opposed to a new weapon. Something like the AWP versus the Stock Rifle could be okay (albeit still ambiguous in some ways), but that would not carry over to a lot of other weapons - not to mention, weapon models on the workshop were not designed around the context of being a reskin.

It's mostly just stuff Valve has tested in their build of TF2 that hasn't made it into an update for various reasons (people didn't respond well to it in playtests, wasn't feasible to add etc.). Not to say it wont be in a future update, it just doesn't mean a whole lot when it comes to Valve adding them.

I doubt it will be 3 spy taunts though, either one at most or none at all. I also just spent the last hour refreshing the last thread before realising it was closed, whoops.

In tge gun mettle there files for the sante taunt but it was nerver added there were also files for the killer solo but it was added later. You cant just assume that if the files for it exists then it gonna get added. Another thing Valve has 4 private videos in the taunts playlist makes you wonder if these are the taunts

One of the taunts will likely be a new conga style one made by Valve anyway, so it won't even be on the workshop.
Is maintenance being done early today? I can't remember the last time it was done this early.

Valve does have a weird trend lately of using lots of Halloween community content after Halloween, so I would not be surprised if the Hoodoo Hex taunt got in. That being said, I can't see an update with more than one Spy exclusive taunt.

Mayflower feels like a delayed Scream Fortress. Heck, it had more Halloween items submitted for 2015 than the actual Scream Fortress.
