I agree it was bad for the sandvich but I think it would work on like the Dalokah's bar. Even if it was just like, 25 health, having that instantly would be very helpful.
Why would you ever eat it normally? The mechanic of self-eating via throwing was very obviously not an intentional feature. The intent was so that you could share it with teammates. You know, the people who don't have a Sandvich to eat in the first place. People seem to have this bizarre notion that since it was left in the game for so long, it was wholly on-purpose and not the result of an accident that they decided to let sit so they could observe it for a while.
What more can be said besides shittalking between Team Pyro and Team Heavy?
I don't think Valve would do this: Changelog: >Added new weapon "Beforeburner" Stats They would show it off with the taunts as something new.
They would, although if it were a "new" weapon that was just, for example, splitting the Reserve Shooter off to Pyro as a unique weapon with tweaked stats, that would likely be in the notes and not really advertised.
I'm gonna go clean the litter box. Considering every part of the update was revealed while I was away (Achievements during breakfast, taunts during shower, page during xxx), this may give us Patch Notes.
I don't think Valve would do this: Changelog: >Added new weapon "Beforeburner" Stats They would show it off with the taunts as something new.
My point is more that he shouldn't come to a conclusion before we know if he's right or not. It would be wierd if Valve did that, but we still don't know one way or the other if there are going to be new weapons included in this update yet.
I don't think Valve would do this: Changelog: >Added new weapon "Beforeburner" Stats They would show it off with the taunts as something new.
beforeburner: sets enemies on fire before you even see them
why are we STILL waiting
A single good soldier can ruin a heavy med combination, and definitely a heavy alone
New weapons is one thing, but why tie balance changes to WAR? If they're needed balance changes just release them.
A single good soldier can ruin a heavy med combination, and definitely a heavy alone
Heavy dies to a fart in his direction.
beforeburner: sets enemies on fire before you even see them
Isn't that just how people play pyro normally?
Why would you ever eat it normally? The mechanic of self-eating via throwing was very obviously not an intentional feature. Just because it was originally not an intended feature doesn't mean that it's inherently bad idea that can't exist in any form ever.
A single good soldier can ruin a heavy med combination, and definitely a heavy alone
And this is important or swaying of opinions how? A single good soldier will destroy a Pyro, medic or otherwise.
Would all of pyros or heavys personality go to sniper too.
Sniper goes from speaking aussie slang to unintelligible mumbling. No one outside of Australia notices the difference.
Valve are such teases
I wonder what could have been if Heavy had been given the banners instead of Soldier.
GUESS RATING Agree if heavy will win the war Disagree if pyro will will the war
New weapons is one thing, but why tie balance changes to WAR? If they're needed balance changes just release them.
Blogpost says they'll both get a balance update (probably). Who wins the war will get it FIRST.
I wonder what could have been if Heavy had been given the banners instead of Soldier.
Minicrit minigun sniping.
I'm back from cleaning the litterbox. (User was banned for this post ("Why reply" - postal))
New weapons is one thing, but why tie balance changes to WAR? If they're needed balance changes just release them.
Valve takes a lot of time and goes through a shitton of iteration for every play concept. There's probably enough on the cutting room floor to fill a warehouse full of mattresses. I imagine they have huge, huge ideas behind the scenes for both Pyro and Heavy, and want to see what the community wants them to focus on first - ideas so huge they want to be able to do them one at a time to ensure they have the maximal amount of attention and care. While I admit I find the bugs that slip through the cracks and the weird ideas much more appealing to me, I do respect the amount of thought they are willing to put behind things they are genuinely serious about beyond 'ooh, lightbulb, let's do this silly/crazy untested thing.'
Blogpost says they'll both get a balance update (probably). Who wins the war will get it FIRST.
Which, again, if they're needed balance changes inherently means one class will be intentionally underpowered / out if balance / whatever. Seems like a dumb thing to gate with a contest.
I'm gonna go see if I can earn that PASS time update, or at least progress on it.
GUESS RATING Agree if heavy will win the war Disagree if pyro will will the war
The votes are opinions. The clock is ticking Pyro boys.
Which, again, if they're needed balance changes inherently means one class will be intentionally underpowered / out if balance / whatever. Seems like a dumb thing to gate with a contest.
Put it this way. If you want to double-major in college, you're going to be a lot better off finishing the requirements for your first degree before buckling down for the second one. Trying to do both at the same time could ultimately fuck everything up as you collapse from the combined stress and difficulty.
The votes are opinions. The clock is ticking Pyro boys.
I love how there are like 5 pyro heads on heavy hand, right when they are 5 disagree rating's. :v:
So are we not getting new cosmetics, or at least not right now Ala Gun Mettle style?
Which, again, if they're needed balance changes inherently means one class will be intentionally underpowered / out if balance / whatever. Seems like a dumb thing to gate with a contest.
And given Valve's glorious track record, we have no real idea when either of these things will be. Its even possibly the winner's update wont even be this year.
I mean, you see a lot of pyros on Valve pubs, our underpowered asbestos boy could pull through.
where are those gosh darned update notes
