Hey Jill, if you are reading this please tell me if the update is coming this week or not, so I don't spend the whole time sitting at my PC pressing F5. Thanks
Do something else to occupy your time like read a book or masterbate
To be fair, I would blame that on TF2's spaghetti code and not incompetence.
Which would be a perfect excuse for a Source 2 port. But nope.
Do something else to occupy your time like read a book or masterbate
Nice try pal, you want me to miss out on selling them sweet campaign cases when the update comes out :v:
Nice try pal, you want me to miss out on selling them sweet campaign cases when the update comes out :v:
yeah bro he's gotta get his sick box bucks
Which would be a perfect excuse for a Source 2 port. But nope.
I would agree that sounds great in theory, but keep in mind part of the game's appeal is from lots of people being able to run it because of low system requirements, and porting to a new engine is not exactly an easy or cheap procedure. Also, it would detract efforts from future updates, and if they did eventually intend to release another update, then a lot of the fan base that looked forward to frequent updates would have probably moved on.
I'm pretty sure valve employees can work from home. Maybe some final touches to the update page were done on one of the artist's home computers over the weekend. Could be finalizing the blogpost as we speak.
Do something else to occupy your time like read a book or masterbate
Or learn how to correctly spell masturbate?
There was an update that made equipping a promo item crash the game. If you remotely know Valve then youd come to terms with how incompetent they are.
But this is a big moment in TF2s future and the direction in which it goes. At least in Valves mind and probably in reality I can absolutely see why they'd take their time to make this as smooth as possible before letting people judge it and thus judge tf2 prospects.
I'm giving it three hours from now. If we don't hear anything tonight OR tomorrow night, it's probably not happening this week. I majorly, majorly doubt they're gonna release a major update that could have major issues on a Friday.
I wish the tf2 team was as enthusiastic about updates as much as the CS and Dota team. I swear I've been getting a cs & dota update everyday for the last two weeks :scream:
I wish the tf2 team was as enthusiastic about updates as much as the CS and Dota team. I swear I've been getting a cs & dota update everyday for the last two weeks :scream:
While I get your point, these are no big updates, merely bugfixes and/or small features like Player Stickers in CS:GO. So it's not like they're getting big updates every week.
I mean, it's kind of to be expected that they're more interested in newer games than they are in games from nearly 9 years ago with 1/10 of the playerbase.
merely bugfixes and/or small features like Player Stickers
TF2 players would freak out just for these things :v:
Do something else to occupy your time like read a book or masterbate
I've been playing a neat little Kickstarter game called Project Nexus 2 to keep myself busy
They're at least getting like a new crate every month or two which is way more than we could say for TF2 most of the time
I never thought I'd say I miss crates, but I miss crates.
I never thought I'd say I miss crates, but I miss crates.
I just miss new stranges...
I wish the tf2 team was as enthusiastic about updates as much as the CS and Dota team.
I never thought I'd say I miss crates, but I miss crates.
The Mayflower Case has you covered! :v: ...but really though, I'm surprised they are so frugal about adding new crates/cases/whatever. You figure it would be easy money for them to pick 5-8 new cosmetics and plop them in a crate every 4-6 weeks or something for periods that would otherwise have extended downtime.

Is it too optimistic to expect new soundtrack ?
Is it too optimistic to expect new soundtrack ?
If the next dance taunt music is as good as Kazotsky it can probably be added as main menu music.

Ughh I want new stranges so much.
Is it too optimistic to expect new soundtrack ?
L&W had some of the best Music composed for TF2 in a long time. I can honestly say I enjoy the following songs: Rise of the Living Bread It Hates me so Much SEDUCE ME! and Red Bread EoTL has some pretty good music for their short, but sadly, it's not a part of the official OST because it wasn't composed by Valve.
official music packs 2016 come on valve i need to put these 300gb of strings and brass samples to use
Unrelated but the valve store updated with a ton of new tf2 merch.
Unrelated but the valve store updated with a ton of new tf2 merch.
Well, that actually could be related. It makes sense that they'd add in more merchandise if they expect this update to expand TF2's audience.

I honestly don't want crates to disappear. TBH skins and tiered hats seem really stupid to me if that's all we're ever going to get from now on.
I honestly don't want crates to disappear. (An exception to this would be community created skins.)
