What heavy needs is the Brass Beasts "damage resistance when spun up" applied to every minigun, just as a default stat. Right now he's just not as good as a heavy hitter class as a Soldier, which is an issue because he's supposed to be the heavy-hitter class. Whenever there's a situation where Heavy is useful I just go Soldier, or rarely Brass Beast Heavy.
What do you mean "half the stuff"? Because patch notes didn't launch immediately with the update? I'm not trying to defend updating the game this much later than the update page leaving the patchnotes unguessable for the entire duration. I think they should have launched the update shortly after the page went up too. But there are people in this thread acting like having to wait an afternoon for the update has absolutely destroyed any excitement they had, "leaving them with feelings of frustration and anger". Seriously? It's not like the patch notes are going to be 3 lines of nothing. It's the most significant part of the update.
I may be wrong, but don't most updates hit at 9pm EST? Like, if people wanted an update to hit 1 hour after the page, that would mean delaying the page too? I don't know, I'm probably wrong.
For polling purposes: AGREE if you put water on your toothbrush before applying toothpaste DISAGREE if you vote for Heavy (User was banned for this post ("Shitpost" - Craptasket))
The update is definitely coming today, yeah? Why so impatient now? At least when the update does launch you'll be able to read the patch notes while waiting for item servers to come back up.
Eloquently sums up everything I've been saying. Thank you, Snowshoe. To the inevitable swarm of "Dumb" and "Disagree" posts we're getting in response to criticizing Valve, let me put it this way. To me, on a personal level, this update has been staggered with poorly-timed hype, poorly-managed community communication and now, somehow, even though everything is clearly ready, a staggered release for what's typically considered the meat of any update. The only reason for this- as demonstrated by the literal cool beans on the update page- is to tease us, one last time. I was ready to forget all of the negativity I felt leading up to this, but that was just a twist of the knife. That is not how you reward community investment. That is not how you reward my patience. So, yeah, I'm pretty pissed. And nothing you say is gonna change that. I'm sure I'll love it when it comes, but for now I'm just gonna be angry, because Valve fucked up. I'm pissed about this, and from the looks of it other people with high investment in the game and the update are pissed about it too.
You're pissed because of the cool beans???
And by halting the release they're somehow ruining this??? are the rebalances going to disappear??
All I'm saying it's some pretty sloppy handling by Valve to not have your update pages finalized before you put them out into the public view.

So hey, considering that we're locked in once we pick a side: now would be a time for the SFM talents out there to make propaganda posters for the WAR.

This is kind of an overreaction.
heres my wish for a new pyro wep: Frostbite - left click is a burn that deals mini crits on people who are frozen - right click freezes enemy players On a side note I really do hope Pyro wins and can't wait to see these balance notes.

It'll probably be 1am before the update hits over here.
Despite criticism I actually think this is one of the best updates Valve has rolled out for TF2 in years. It features everything we asked for: No contracts, no skins, no tiers, Competitive Mode, A full-on War event, Every Strange weapon we could ever ask for, and Passtime and Taunts as a nice bonus. This is everything I wanted out of a TF2 update, and it certainly was worth the weight. Props to Valve for improving the the game and listening to community feedback.
the patch notes coming is something , FIGHTING to see wich patch notes comes first is another thing (a much better thing in my opinion). Just get in the WAR spirit guys

It's also worth noting that Gun Mettle and Tough Break weren't multi-day updates. Has there been any multi-day update page that contained patch notes before release?
post it on reddit, they'll love it
they told me to go /r/im14andthisisfunny soo yea i think they loved it.
All I see right now is poorly-managed anger issues. Like, I would understand if they delayed the update even for a day. But they didn't delay the update. I would understand if they didn't show the patch notes even after releasing the update, which would never happen. You just need to calm down. There's literally no reason to be so angry about waiting a couple of hours.
I'd like to say I don't really care exactly when Valve intends to drop the update. It will happen whenever it happens. My point is, don't release the final day until your update is actually ready. Common sense.
honestly is there any valid reason why heavy needs a buff? I can't think of any. This is why I'm siding with pyro-scum.
Heavy doesn't have much staying power unless he has a Medigun so far up his ass that it's rubbing his teeth. Heavy has to make a death pact for every fight he gets into because he's too slow to break contact or switch weapons and definitely too slow to run away from any threat. Heavy has trouble getting anywhere without pulling out the GRU and specifically the GRU because otherwise he'll show up to the party once everyone's hungover and cleaning up hours-old vomit. Heavy's damage and accuracy are arbitrarily nerfed without any intuitive reason for this for the first second of firing his primary weapon. All of heavies weapons are delightfully not useful outside of a select few.
You're pissed because of the cool beans???
Because "cool beans" in the place of what I actually want- before now, communication, and right now, patch notes- is jack shit. It's nothing. It's the excitement and speculation building up to two update pages that give about half of the actual information and leave the rest to frustrated speculation. It fucking sucks. If you can't get that, I won't keep trying to explain it, because either you lack the reading comprehension or the perspective to understand why I'd be frustrated after being teased for a month and having an extra bit slid in at the end for no good reason. I was already done waiting a week ago.
Played a bit too much Mei, haven't you?
Yes. But still would be fun to use in tf2 even if it's an unpopular opinion :v:
there's a reason that every weapon in tf2 that affected enemy players movement speed has been nerfed to oblivion, buddy. turns out removing control from an enemy player is actually Unfair and Unfun shame blizzard didn't take note of that when they were designing the team's new favorite waifu
I actually don't mind slows/stuns as it's just apart of what that class can do, but I can see why a lot of people dislike losing control of their character.
