Steam just got updated, maybe it hints at the update coming soonish
That happens pretty much all the time, so probably not
Honestly it is pretty damn frustrating to not have the patch notes available for hours and hours after the page releases.
I made a Sun-On-A-Stickman this morning in hopes of getting a stick buff in the update :v: [t]https://i.gyazo.com/8b9ee23516357550c31aafada9ca7c5c.png[/t]
Please release the player model :v:.
Something I'm curious about is how to make Heavy fully viable in 6v6 format (and 9v9?) while keeping him balanced in pubs.. Right now heavy is good with a decent medic in pubs, and disgustingly terrible without one. And depending on the player he's 'ok' in Highlander. Here's what heavy's strong limitations are and what could be fixed all this shit is in my opinion based on knowledge of 3 seasons of UGC Platinum and shit ton of pubbing. how to read my shitty formatting 1. problem solution
reasoning
1. Slow as fuck without GRU, often times out of fights because of this. Solution - 77% Base Speed to 79% (JUST under soldier)
Heavy will get to team fights just a bit faster, which might make the difference. Especially in 5CP and Koth where walk times can actually be longer than respawn
2. Significant damage ramp-up based on how long you're firing ~2 seconds of firing to achieve 100% damage Tbh, I partly agree with this ramp-up. It gives a unique skill ceiling mechanic, giving incentive to pre-fire giving risk of position and ammo. But the risk is often to great for the reward Solution - Change ramp-up to full damage to ~1 second instead of 2. So Heavy does 100% normal damage after 1 seconds of firing and additionally after 4~ seconds of firing he does additional damage around 105% damage or so.
Heavies caught out of position and surprised by sudden enemies still shouldn't win unfair fights and can't insta-jump rev corners to melt people before they realize what's happening. Extra damage to reward risktaker heavies
3. Very good (in general) with a medic. Often times useless with a medic Solution - 350 Base Health - All Mediguns Overheal Unchanged, Chocolate Bar to 400 HP.
Heavies can still be good with medics, but now can be more independent.
4. Inconsistent accuracy while reving. I also agree with Valve's initial change, not stated before but this helps players insta-reving mowing down people, EVEN if they are caught out of position. Solution - Miniguns fire (~4?*) bullets per 1 ammo - which while reving are somewhat RNG - Change bullet count to 5* and have 1 bullet fire railgun style straight with damage fall off of course. This gives a higher skill ceiling and more chance for heavies to 1v1 good opponents without losing 100% time.
Same reasoning for damage ramp-up, still keep Valve's intended change on no longer insta-melting from being unreved-. Also a high skill ceiling for skilled players to be rewarded for having good tracking
*i think 4 bullets fire out of each ammo use idk for sure
Honestly it is pretty damn frustrating to not have the patch notes available for hours and hours after the page releases.
we will have after fighting for it
Jill is online, but not Driller or Eric :v: Edit: forgot driller's is private (but he is online cause geel just said)
Jill is online, but not Driller or Eric :v:
Dave's online. He just has a private profile. JillerS lives
Why do people always say that Heavy is in the need of a desperate rework (which to a degree, he kinda does) when Pyro is a complete mess too? At least Heavy has a defined role as a tank that can deal some damage.
Heavy isn't a tank.

Right now he's really annoying and unfun to play against, especially in pubs. But everyone knows he's (extremely debatable) the worst class.
heavy reworks
these are some pretty valid points. as heavy is my least played class i never realized how much this really happened.

I find it very interesting that Valve would want to add new weapons into TF2 as of now, when it seems like the last couple major updates have been trying to fix the close to 100 unique weapons we already have in the game. I don't really know if adding more things to buff or nerf in the future is a good thing, but if the weapons offer a new and/or fun way to play, than I'm all for it.
System Message: Item server going down for 15 mins ITS HAPPENING
Heavy isn't a tank.
He's a tank that can't tank very well because Sniper exists, but his role is still clearly designed as a tank.
There was just a system message that the item server is going down in 15 minutes for neato maintenance. I love Valve so much. Master trolls.

lmao contra is going to have an aneurism
He's a tank that can't tank very well because Sniper exists, but his role is still clearly designed as a tank.
No. TTK in FPS games doesn't reasonably allow tank-type characters to exist.

We're working on a mandatory update for Team Fortress 2. This is the Meet Your Match Update. Some high-level details can be found here: http://www.teamfortress.com/meetyourmatch/ We should have it ready soon. -Eric

Cool beans on the update page, neato in the system messages. Truly we are living in a new era.
Wait what, It actually said neato?
Jill is a dick.
the saga of neato finally approaches it's conclusion once this update is out let us never speak of it again
just got the HLDS email SOON
Wait what, It actually said neato?
Jill was probably the one who wrote that message... Needs a good Smhack lol
only a matter of minutes now
[t]http://invalidvertex.com/upl/2016-07-07_19-55-11.png[/t] It's coming!
How long does it typically take for an update to come out after an email?
