Conga rollout is now a thing, i guess.
Played my first match with my old comp team members. Felt good. And started to miss the old days of having a team
That stress test was horrible. If MM gets popular at all, those downtimes will be commonplace if Valve doesn't do anything.
welcome to our MvM struggle
Had only a match, i went medic even tho i'm shit and SOMEHOW i top scored and they congratuled to me for my ubers :v:
It's ridiculous to point at a stress test and claim it's indicative of the final product.
A beta isn't working properly? I want my money back.
guys the point of a stress test is literlly to stress the servers and see if anything breaks. Better something breaks now and gets fixed than it be shipped in the finished product.
Well it appears that they have removed access from item/map contributors to the beta also. Atleast i don't seem to have access anymore. I guess one of those arrogant comp players i encountered complained to Valve how beta was full of people who had no idea about comp play.
i played only one competive game with the fp tf2 discord group.
i shit you not, we played against an legit actual 6v6 team. our team was 3 scouts, the medic with 200 ping, a soldier and me as a pyro.
and i shit you not, we won.
i don't like how you can't change items when you're ingame, doesn't make too much sense to me

The first game, I was unable to switch from my Objector to Ubersaw, however from then onward I was able to. I'm fairly certain that first game was just a Item Server bug.

Think that was just the item servers, was able to swap mediguns one round when they were somewhat working.
Does anyone else no longer have a competitive button on their HUD, even having a self-made/community weapon/beta pass?
I'd hate to report this to valve and sound like an overentitled shithead lol

I'm willing to bet MM is down while they look into the issues faced during the stress test. I seriously doubt they've removed access for anyone.
There was no reason for item contributors to have exclusive access anyway.

I agree (to some extent), but giving it to them and removing it is a bit of a shitty move
maybe cause we contributed to this shitty toxic community
jk love you all <3 xoxo

It's not just for item contributors, map makers and other community members were covered by the same rule. I also wouldn't say there was no reason. If they're looking for a small set of invested community members willing to provide feedback / report bugs it isn't a bad choice, especially since many self-made and community items were distributed to people involved with tip of the hats and other community events.
I'm not saying it's worked out fairly for everyone, and I'm sure we're all aware of people who should be in it but don't have access (hud makers and people who are highly involved in competitive but don't have community items, for example), but as far as simple solutions go it was a pretty good way of selecting a relatively small group of 'proven' accounts.
Valve should just make A Color Similar to Slate a team colored paint and change its name. It would help a good amount of the team recognition problems mentioned earlier.
They should also start accepting item updates on a case by case basis after inspecting them for quality, in-case some questionable things slip through the cracks.
aw, that's a bummer! :(
I guess there's gonna be small update within 2-3 hours?

maybe some matchmaking bugfixes, but I'd expect that the next time there's a stress test, not today.

Keep the name, make it red slate on, well, red.

the plant got fed up and quit, and decided to take down the servers on his way out in an act of vengeance for not getting enough sunlight
also let's dwell on the fact that the news to go through some randy on twitter to announce a major outage in probably the most important thing that'll happen all year. The official group has nothing about this anywhere i can find it
Do you guys think there should be new paint for TF2
I would love a more pastel pink.
A slightly more different shade of lavender/violet/purple.
