Don't they usually do these light summer updates sometime around the Steam Summer Sale, or is that typically around when the major TF2 Summer update comes out?

This would make me assume it's just a tide-over update before they release a big matchmaking summer update. There's not a consistent theme to this so it's definitely just a cosmetic crate, not summer themed or anything

I think they wanted to release 2 cases on Halloween but someone who was responsible for second case forgot about it, but saw the memo somewhere today :v:
This is every item I wanted in Halloween and Tough Break. This feels like an apology for last year's cosmetic choices, and I for one am very happy to see this. I will be happily unboxing.

Not to disparage the item creators, but it's just weird seeing valve add halloween gear and a cold weather item in early summer, we got a boatload of items like that already.
Why not add some of those sweet summer/beach themed items that have been in the workshop for quite a while now like that all class Hawaiian shirt and stuff like that.

Yep. It's incredibly outdated when it comes to graphic performance.
There's something seriously wrong when modern gaming computers can run Overwatch, a game that hasn't even been officially released yet, just fine on its highest settings, but they chug if they don't have TF2 on medium settings with an FPS config.
And no, it isn't "just my computer", it's most current gaming computers.

Oh yeah, my exact point. I have a really outdated gaming laptop that, while on lower settings, can run OW flawlessly in windowed mode on a second monitor. TF2? Even at the lower resolution of my additional monitor, I can't even get it to run stably, low framerates and huge amounts of stuttering make the game unplayable.

The crates all say which series of unusual they come with. I am pretty sure that special cosmetics crates like this that aren't seasonal will have effects from all 3 normal series'.
