I know this is selfish but i hope it will be the same like last year so i will get that update announcement as birthday present from VALVe on 1st of July (come on, it's just 1 week more)
Please c:
I really doubt any future summer update will be just before the 4th of July like Gun Mettle, Valve had to release an update on the 4th last year and I doubt they want to come into the office on a national holiday to update TF2 again.

Wrong thread, pal
I feel like instead of nerfing soldier/demo/what have you, they need to be focusing on buffing and repurposing the other classes to compete at the same dominant level. Though I'm not expert on TF2's balance, so I'm not the one to ask how to do this.

sniper and spy are impossible to buff without becoming serious annoyances since they can already do one-shots. you can't really buff one-shots without becoming obnoxious as hell.
engi's fine. level 3 sg has always accomplished its primary intent perfectly and fairly. hauling is the only thing he ever "needed" (and that's still arguable).
so basically there's only pyro and heavy left. considering how they've been desecrated since day one, it's just unlikely to happen.
thats why i suggested repurposing/re-designing the problem classes, if just marginally

I honestly cannot think of a single way to make spy not suck without him being a major pain to fight.
He really just doesn't work.
Spy's fine for pubs, he's a blast to play and not too frustrating to get killed by. If you keep your eye on your back you're usually fine, killing spies who you find before they get in melee range is piss-easy, and trying to out-melee them and avoid getting side-stabbed is a fun little challenge if you're at close range and want to risk it.
I have one very specific complaint about spies that applies only to Heavy: since the ramp-up nerf, heavy's time to kill has lengthened so long that I have to focus directly on an enemy for many seconds at a time at anything other than point blank range to deal damage. The vast majority of times I legitimately die to spy as a heavy(I.e. Not facestabs etc), it's because I'm just plugging away at an enemy's health and unlike a headshot I can't exactly duck and weave out of a backstabbing.

I play Heavy a lot, so this has just conditioned me to turn around randomly while firing at somebody that isn't point blank. Pretty easy to spot the spies cause they'll be making a beeline for you. Most assume that you're completely occupied with trying to mow someone down, so they stop trying to play mind games.
Patch detected on Steam DB.
~5 MB according to wickedplayer.
Edit: Skullcap now called Dead Head, all Mayflower Cosmetics now marketable.
Dead Head is a pretty cool name compromise.
It took 8 days from August 2-10, 2012 until Valve changed the Huo-Long Heatmaker to Heater.
Changing Skullcap to Dead Head took 6 days from May 11-17, 2016.

And it only took one day for them to change the second Snow Stompers to the Storm Stompers; December 22nd to 23rd, 2014.

Yeah, we've already fixed that and have received a response from Eric saying they would implement it.
Wonder if that means another patch later this week...
im still disappointed that we didnt get a city of heroes homage to the skuls but at the same time I obviously cant expect something that obscure lmao
And I'm disappointed that they didn't rename it the Skull Face. Come on, it was right there.
I wish they put more creativity when renaming my workshop named Snow Stompers to the very creative and unique Storm Stompers after they conflicted with the already ingame boots
They oughta change the name to the "Snow Stormers" :v:

The Snow Stomper Stompers
I thought storm stompers was a nod to star wars
cause you know it sorta sounds like storm trooper in a way

I mean Id assume it was Storm because they were viking boots. But Ive always just been a bit annoyed that they sound so similar to another item.

I hate that they renamed "the insulated innovator" to "the insulated inventor", but all the filepaths and shit still reference to the innovator.
And its such an arbitrary name change. Its not like it could be confused for something else.

Glad you guys liked the original name ;)
[sp]I suggested it, A_Guardian remembers![/sp]
EDIT: Really tired, mind was on the Dead Head when I read that, even though I knew it was about something else. Brain plz.

I even included it on the workshop submission.
And I'm disappointed that they didn't rename it the Skull Face. Come on, it was right there.
I started out on a small community server. I was still an F2P when we were raided by Soldiers. Burning Team Captain Soldiers.
