New content for Pass Time from Bad Robot! =D
But the only problem about Pass Time, it's still in beta along with Asteroid and Cactus Canyon! C'MON VALVE.
If Cactus Canyon and Asteroid aren't out of beta this new update I'm going to be very sore
they aren't valve though??
I didn't imply otherwise??

Only 35 days until we hit its 2nd anniversary!
love how they fucked up competitive and havent done anything for weeks. good luck if you can play a match without someone leaving
I think Valve got what they wanted out of the testing and that was making sure the servers were up to snuff. Once they got that out of the way they probably felt little reason to continually update it until the final release was ready.

Well I hope You're right.
It would be a shame if they... You know...
Silently cancelled it.
That's what I'm afraid of - Valve will just cut the flow and abandon any ambicious works on TF2. Because from my observations it looks like competetive hype is something that brings people back to TF2 and makes them stay and enjoy the game.
Has TF2 ever had seven million players?
i think they are busy with cs gos next operation since tf2 shares the team with them. its probably the reason for lack of updates. they are busy trying to turn csgo into tf2
Wait so where did this District leak come from? Did the pastime team just upload it to imgur?
Edit: Also, how the hell does this map get done so fast but Astroid and Cactus Canyon and still in beta?!
Based on what Fr0z3nR was told when visiting Valve it sounds like they are probably done but Valve is waiting for the right update for them:
I know this will potentially get buried, but when I was at Valve in November, I asked about CC and Asteroid. From what I was told, and as I understand it, both maps aren't dead. It seemed like they were just waiting for the right time to release. This could have changed in the past 3-4 months, obviously, but as I remember it, this is what I was told (in person, by a member of the TFTeam)... so take that as you wish.

According to Steamspy around 33 Million steam accounts have TF2 on it and it's had close to 1.9 million unique steam accounts played the game in the last 2 weeks.

according to b4nnys various recent visits to valve, they've stockpiled DOZENS of gamechanging rebalances, improvements to matchmaking and even lots of stuff catered towards the casual community. I wouldn't chalk it all down to them being busy at csgo, probably prepping the big summer update which will presumably be really big.

does this mean I can hope that valve fixes that beggars bug

Yeah based on what B4nny's said about this update it sounds like Valve is going to really shake things up again like they did with Gun Mettle last year. I'm really looking forward to seeing what we get and I'm starting to get excited about it, since we're probably less then a month away from the update.
I don't want to have to wait until early July for the next big update to be released. I know it's not even that far off now but I'm super tired of waiting. The annual 6-month dry spell really blows ass.
By far though, Valve's been pretty good with updating the game constantly over the past few months. Ever since Tough Break valve has been adding small improvements to the game. We get a small fix every 3 weeks now.It hasn't felt like a dry spell to me at least. I do hope we get a big update soon.

Well a lot of the summer updates come out around the start of the Steam Summer sale, which starts on June 23rd this year so it may not be early July if they try to ship it before the sale.
this "show WIP work" concept doesn't exist if you follow valve. don't blame him
Wow, even the guys they partnered with to do work for a single game mode make more progress than the actual TF2 team. The fact that they actually give us a teaser of what they are working on makes me like them even more.
I don't think a single map is "more progress than the actual TF2 team"
I just want to know what will happen to Heavy. Stop keeping me in suspense! Both Blizzard and Tripwire announce upcoming changes in advance, which is something I'd rather see from Valve.

We're happy to announce that Heavy now has more accuracy and damage ramp up. Please understand.
Has TF2 ever had seven million players?
I bet it's churned through at least that many players in its lifetime.

About spy. I do wish the ambassador would be more effective at close range but keep its current stats at long.
You've gotta get two headshots to kill a sniper quickly that or shoot him a few times after the first headshot and that's more than enough time for the sniper to move or attempt to kill you.

Imagine if Spy had a weapon that instakilled any class.

I don't think the Ambassador needs a buff at all. It's strong enough with the capability of headshotting alone.

As I posted previously Steamspy shows that about 33 million Steam accounts have played TF2 and about 1.9 million people have played it in the last 2 weeks.

You're literally the only person who plays tf2 that thinks the Amby needs a buff.
The weapon is way too powerful at long range and just turns Spy into another sniper who can stealth all over the place besides.
I'd think Amby being shit close-range is an intentional design thing. A side grade to the Revolver, which gets pretty consistent-ish damage with pretty accurate shots
