at this point its probably automated so we can rest easy
Maybe Valve could mix Botkillers and skins as they did with Festives and skins.
More useless reskin of stock weapon? Are you serious right now? I prefers new weapon that are basically the same stats as another than a reskin of an already existing weapon. I am against new botkiller.
I just want more weapon in tf2, but the problems is that "how to balance them?" i mean they could probably make some special test server where they'll take player feedback about the new weapon and then balance them enough to be official weapon.
Also if we are talking about MvM, i'd really like something else than just "Wave of bulletsponge", why not having traps you can turn on in the map for credit? why not more ways to gain credit? Interact with the maps to destroy the robot? TF2 has got no maps interaction. Make maps "Less static".

because players have to get things done themselves, not sit back and let a lol-one-shot-trap do everything for them. Some bots have 60,000 hp for a reason.
pits are good enough. Everything else would look dumb, out of place or expensive.
I have played custom MvM maps in the past that tried different traps out, and to be honest the "lol-one-shot-traps" were so abused and boring that it didn't really feel like a challenge.
However there was one case where a map used a fan trap which would divert a few select robots which were in the area onto an alternate route.
It was designed cleverly where the alt route was a choke point, so even if a player killed the bomb holder there. A giant would just come in and be a meat shield for everything behind him.
It would recharge once every wave completion, so it could only be used once per wave.
Was honestly quite clever but I doubt it would see practice in an actual polished map.
I just want new stranges for weapons that don't already have them
Valve Pls fixate my kill counting fetish
All I want for summer is a Strange Iron Curtain and a Strange Lugemorph.
Screw contracts and all those, just give me these two.

And proper luger reload! After i installed Paysus' Scout's FP animation pack i had to switch to stock, because with proper animations luger's bitch slap reload looks even uglier.
I was dreaming about luger since day 1 as 11 y. o. kid and when i grew up a bit and found out i still can get one via Poker i got it and almost never switched from it, i really like the luger still, but oh boy dat reload...
what is mvm had side missions in each wave to meet a specific criteria to earn some extra money that wave or maybe even an extra weapon for each criteria met at the end of the tour, like how DOOM 4 has certain criteria for missions to get a couple more weapon upgrade points?
like for example
- Taunt kill one robot
- kill 15+ enemies in one shot
- kill a tank before it gets halfway through the map
- heal a combined 1500 hp with the health on kill powerup
- finish a wave in x time or less
- push a robot into a grinder/hole
just a thought though

This makes me think of MvM contracts. Which.. wouldn't be all that bad. Assuming they don't make them stupidly hard or anything, but it could be tricky to come up with some that don't ruin the game mode altogether. I suppose the contract rewards would have to be something more than just skins though. As much as I like the idea of skins and botkillers, there wouldn't be much reason to try and get them. Unless they made it so they could only come in strange since you're paying for the campaign and ToD tickets at the same time.

How would one make a decent loadout with the Spy using the Falkirk helm.
[sp]Or better yet.. Why make it all-class?[/sp]
That is definitely one of the few cases where putting it on other classes sucks some of the personality out of it.
Pyro looks great, the other classes do not. The creator told me on reddit though that the final decision was up to Valve, so it might not get accepted.
At least the plume looks much better.
Don't get me wrong, the new model looks fantastic, but it's a shame to see it on classes like Spy where it's going to look very weird. It should be fully appreciated on classes it works on, Like Demo or Pyro

Reminder that the final decision to put the Hazmat Headcase on the Sniper was Valve's too.

That wasn't a decision, they weren't told of the change and valve neglected to look in the files and double check the changes.
Valve basically puts all responsibility on the creator and unfortunately trusts them to make the best decision multi-class wise.

It's a big ask for Valve to look at something before they put it in the game, I know.
I still dont understand why Valve doesn't quality check this stuff. I was on a pub and couldnt tell what team a demoman was due to those Breakneck Baggies.

Was thinking about something simular in a sense. What if there were special robots that spanwed randomly during a tour that give a nice chunk of cash if your able to find, destroy and collect it before they disappeared.
They have a number of different places to spawn, to keep them from being too easy to find.

That would require actual work.

No, they definitely saw it happened and just okayed it to go ingame even though the quality is poopy. There was an official patchnote for the compatibility.

people act like I tricked or fooled valve into adding it into the game, when I was just doing it for a laugh and figured they'd laugh at it too, then politely decline it from going ingame because it's completely ridiculous. So yes, it was a decision by valve to add it.

Well, you can make use of their trust again by making the item look presentable and not the mess like it is now.
A community made TFC update would be pretty cool. A couple of remade maps from TFC, fill in the rest of the cosmetics for the rest of the classes that lack them, and some fitting retro weapon reskins with custom sounds and stuff.
This isn't really related to anything, just something I was thinking about.

Interesting. I assumed not all patch notes were manually written out. Makes me really wonder why valve was alright with it..

I was working on a remake of ctf badlands before I left the game for Overwatch and Planetside. Maybe someday I'll do something with it.

I would LOVE this! There are so many fantastic TFC maps out there. Especially considering the older TF games focus on Capture The Flag maps, I'd love to see some CTF maps in TF2 since its lacking in those. (Yes, the older TF games were better suited to CTF, but with minor adjustments and an extra route I think these maps would work in TF2)
Personally, out of the official maps in TFC, I'd love to see Ravelin and Epicenter (the wide open flag room and walkways would be great in TF2). I also love Flagrun, but that would be difficult to implement in TF2.
(And of course, my fav, axlfly)
I would like new achievements, for all the weapons and maps we already have.
The last ones I can remember were the Powerhouse achievements, and that is one of the reasons why I loved that map.
If you have +1500 hours that gives you something to do between updates.

A lot of CTF maps will probably need adjustments to them due changes TF2 that effects engineers. It's much easier to hold your ground in TF2 on engineer then it was in QWTF and TFC.
Personally I'd like to see game modes brought back. Territory control ( Canalzon and CZ2 ) and Keep Away ( murder ball ) be brough back.

I started to work on monkey_l remake but i currently don't have time and i am noob at mapping so i wanted to collab with someone, but everyone whom i asked on TF2M had a lot of stuff to do even without babysitting me. Probably someday i will find someone to work on it together and it will be finished...
EDIT: In case someone is interested in helping me out with it - hit me up on Steam!

you know the sfm short sums up my feelings perfectly, why does this need to be all class at all
there should only be one
eye
It's all fine guys, we will find a way to get it to work on the other 8 classes!
