Family Business on Soldier Pyro Engi
mixed feelings on this
on one hand, I love the Family Business. On the other hand, it's basically a straight upgrade to the stock shotgun, and the main reason it doesn't need nerfs is because it's not the sandvich
it might create an interesting dynamic on those classes, but it'd probably render the stock shotgun completely irrelevant
The only reason the Family Business is a bad weapon is because of the class it's on, not its stats.
exactly my point
The only reason the Family Business is a bad weapon is because of the class it's on, not its stats.
The only reason the Family Business is a bad weapon is because of the class it's on, not its stats.
No, its stats are bad as well. The stats are so simplistic and uninteresting, they aren't situationally more or less useful in any situation, they're just "do a little bit more damage over time but less upfront damage".
Yikes, was just playing on a regular lux valve server only for literally everybody's ping to shoot up, and for everybody to lag like hell, everybody dropping and disappearing one by one until the server completely cleared out except for me. What's up with that.
That's been happening to me, too. I'm pretty sure that everyone leaves because of the lag, though, not because of any technical issues.

same with lux mvm
There was a suggestion on reddit to make the razorback sappable, I think that'd be pretty interesting especially if they gave it to heavy
The difference between Heavies and Snipers is that a Spy can still kill a Sniper fairly easily with his revolver if they have a Razorback. Even if Heavies are slow, you would still have a rough time trying to kill off a Heavy with a Razorback equipped if you only other options were facestabs or revolver shots. Also, Sniper is a class that requires focus through scoping in, so a weapon unlock providing that benefit of having peace of mind with a blatant disruption from attempted backstabs makes sense for him, whereas Heavy is a walking tank with a mini gun. With Heavy, it would just be OP.
what would enabling a razorback to be sapped accomplish?
Please stop suggesting that we give the class with a 360 DPS death-cannon the Razorback.

it's really not as scandaleous as it seems for the independent heavy / no med involved.
I imagine it could get shitty on heavies that do have a med tho.

Only if we get back the old heavy with at least some usage
right now it can be pretty much replaced with demoman or soldier regardless of situation

And uhmm.. i don't understand the point of all those electronic in the razorback? It's just a wooden shield you know. There is nothing to sap.

When is a Heavy, in any serious setting, not sticking with a Medic? It would be shitty in any situation where a Heavy has backup.

The car battery strapped to it shocks the Spy, which is what stuns him.
Did I mistakenly jump into the weapon rebalancing thread?
...Nope, just MUS going super off-topic again.

Well, it can be worse.

It's been a long long while i didn't saw this thread really speculating on new update.
It became the "WEAPON REBALANCING SPECULATING THREAD" :v:
I don't feel we should have shared weapons, pretty much every shared weapon has had major balance issues where its terrible on one class, too good on another I would rather each class got there own weapons tailored to them so that way you don't have the issue of a buff for one class on a weapon doesn't make it broken on another.
as for the razorback, its a terrible lazy weapon design that just passively negates a weakness for the user with 0 input on the wearers behalf, it adds no depth to the game since theres no skills to learn, no new ways to play, and no strategy to use with the razorback, honestly it shouldn't have made it past the drawing board.

i don't know what the fuck is going on but we're thinking of ridiculous impossible thing, honestly the razorback don't fit the heavy at all, the reserve shooter don't fit the engie or any other class, it's just as ridiculous as "Nerfing the health kit!" "Buffing the ambassador!"

You're absolutely right, but for the wrong reasons. Any competent Spy who sees a Sniper wearing the Razorback will just pull out their Ambassador and go for the easy headshot. It's an utterly useless secondary.
You guys do know we are at the last few pages?

Major Update Speculation XXXII - Reunbalanced Edition

You don't pay enough attention to upper level highlander where it's one of the most popular secondaries for sniper. The ones that stick with the combo and are always over healed by the medic don't need to worry about spies at all while they snipe.
It denies a pick class the ability to effective deal with a very problematic and powerful class for his team because of it.
I've actually been curious to ask highlander players if it's smart to actually even allow it as of late to be honest. But I don't want to jump to conclushions without at least acquiring some input on it first from people who actually play comp.
What should we talk about then? Upcoming game-changing additions? That's relatively what's happening.
When is a Heavy, in any serious setting, not sticking with a Medic?
let's be fair, serious setting is like 15% of the game and almost everything is frowned upon. I'm sure those ideas aren't for the "serious setting"

Major Update Speculation XXXII - Two MUS's since our last Major Update edition
Honestly I feel like future weapon rebalance posts should be kept in the weapon rebalance thread unless we know for certain a weapon is going to be rebalanced in a future update, like when B4nny said that Valve was going to change the airblast before the Tough Break update shipped.
