Major Update Speculation V31: Gamechanging Edition

Players who make a party of say 3+ should be placed in a different server than people who join by themselves or with a buddy. That should cut down on the amount of competitive teams joining and stomping only because they have they're, well, a team.
Had a lovely match, great fight and everybody complimented each other at the end
so refreshing from the MvM shitlords I normally play with
What were the patch notes?
Can the Dead of Night removing grenades be kept as a feature? It looks really nice without them on Soldier and Pyro to be honest.

Or just make it a style.

why compare comp with co-op
Coming from a guy that abandoned TF2 three years ago, and stopped playing even occasionally about a year ago.
Matchmaking is great. It's raw, dynamic, aggressive and it's exactly what this game needs right now.
Obviously not without tweaks, correct ranks, and seamless cheat/smurf protection even now. 6v6 was great, but I'm still waiting on Highlander.

In comp, you fight against the other team. In co-op, you fight against your own team. :v:
so like did they magically slip in hit-sound procs for hitting buildings and sappers now? because ive been playing for a couple of minutes, and ive never heard hit sounds proc for sappers or buildings before.

Last week's patch
Every single comp match is unbalanced as shit and we keep getting teams of 5 v 6.
And the BEST part is that losing a match because you keep getting stomped by professional teams with binds and the "YOU SUCK FAGS LOL" attitude is that you actually LOSE progress to your next rank.
Thanks, valve.

On the other hand: standard quickplay becomes amazing when the stress tests take place.
Played a game against b4nny, his entire team was 4 Ambassador spies, a med and a soldier. It made me cry.
Edit: And a fine game with Gigazelle
Valve needs to lower the conditions to get lower priority.
I played a match, game was over. Everyone left, then i did.
I GOT PENALIZED.
Also, they should make it so the player that leaves has a small amount of time to rejoin, or they will get lower priority. I got stuck in place with lag and had to type retry in console which didn't let me join back.
when a game lasts more than like 2 minutes its so much fun, shame that doesn't happen too much though
im interested on how they'll handle 9v9, are we going to be queuing up as a class? i feel theres going to be a lot of issues if people get into a match and someones already running their main
Geel just beat my team at competitive, im never using scrap.tf again
so the hot dogger update isn't gonna happen right? i can stop getting friend requests from hat hoarders who want to take advantage of me, right?!
we done with dead of night? gotta bug them about macho mann this time
My team had 3 scouts on it, swarming everyone and x6 capping the points in seconds and at the end, one of the enemy team members told us to kill ourselves. :v:

its not matchmaking if you dont get told to kill yourself
Finally got a chance to try out matchmaking as a previously comp player . . . ..
banned weapons and lack of class caps are ruining it entirely.
The game devolves to whoever has the most scouts, followed by medics and soldiers.
If they don't impose some restrictions and do another major balance overhaul, the game is going to become nothing but Scatter Gun + Crit-a-Cola + Boston Basher/Atomizer/Sandman Scouts with Overdose + Quick-Fix + Vita-Saw Medics, as the lack of limits even makes classes like demoman and soldier feel like baggage on a team despite their strength and Pyro, Engineer, Heavy, Sniper and Spy are flat out useless.
You think Snipers are useless in MM?
I played a round on Viaduct as Medic against a team with 2 competent snipers and no countersniper on my team. It was the most excruciating game of TF2 as Medic I've ever played. I've never been headshot so much after peeking or being visible for so little time. I couldn't even quit without taking a penalty and ending the game for everyone else (not that it seemed like my team was having much fun) so I just had to bear it for two excruciating 3-minute rounds.
In a different round, an enemy spy kept getting the most insane trickstabs and getting 3k's on fights around the control points. He was blindingly fast and aggressive and carried the team. Someone on my team quit after one humiliating round.
In fact, now that I've had the chance to play 8-10 rounds or so, I'd say I think I've seen every class carry a team at least once. TF2 is far from balanced, but it's not like you can't make a difference if you git gud enough as any class, even the unpopular ones.
god scouts are so unfun to fight in matchmaking in its current form

Hitting Crit-a-Cola Scouts in the face with a rocket for 123 damage after they miss their Soda Popper shots is pretty satisfying though.

not gonna lie, like at least 90% of my deaths in MM today were from scouts
Didn't get to play today but I'm kinda glad to hear scout is being complained about so Valve can finally hear about how not fun it is to fight super fast high damage easy escape classes
there's no problem with scout except for the amount of them and a few unlocks.
