Man, after playing solo queue for the first time, I realise that playing the game alone is a death sentence. Even bigger than in games like CS:GO.

Items that are unique to a character should not be ham-fisted into being all-class items just because other items are also becoming all class. The Trickster's turnout has absolutely no reason being all-class. If ANY other class got the trickster's turnout it should be the medic, and only because his mediguns partially resemble fire hoses. But that still doesn't mean it should get a multi-class update.

In other words can we stop with these 5v6 matches pls valve? I mean it's getting really not fun to have rounds where my team is down a player
but turnout gear being sniper compatible makes perfect sense with the hazmat headcase also being sniper compatible the close range weapons master was really the long range weapons master all along
Rankups should be based on how you do as a player and winning grants a bonus. Because say you have a team that can't do tooo well so you end up losing a ton. Oh guess you aren't ranking up boize! EDIT. Comp feels like it's becoming a scout stacking competition. I mean I've always hated scout but it seems extra now that Comp Beta has started
So is TF2 crashing for anyone using a custom HUD?

Like, if you want points for high damage you shoot the overhealed heavy, rather than the fully charged medic, because the former will net you more points, even if the later will help the team more

Yeah, the system could do with some adjusting, though at the moment there don't seem to be enough players for the ranks to matter that much, so hopefully that's something that gets worked on for beta.

Just got a patch that fixed crashing on the MvM menu.
Jokes on all of you, i already use the default hud.

They're so tiny by default and red just blends in with the environment too much.
Big, bold numbers and bars without intense description and without clutter make a good hud

I wonder why Valve haven't opted to make the default damage numbers much larger, bolder and of a color that better stands out against various colored surfaces. They've gradually implemented many aspects of custom HUDs and recently they've been really pushing the hitsounds more, why would they overlook the tiny, red damage numbers that so many people find completely inadequate in the default hud? It's by far the most obvious issue with the default one for me.
