I think they planned to have customisable buildings last smissmass, since there were references to a festive PDA in the files.
Either they hit a limit or some sort of issue with having different building models or once again they'll wait until someone from the community makes them.
And I'm also guessing unusual buildings will be a thing if they ever add cosmetics for buildings.

I don't think community models is too much of an issue, there are some pretty high-quality ones.
If they did that everyone would complain "boo, all they do is add hats!"
And then they do it less frequent and everyone complains "boo, we want more hats!"
Rinse and repeat.
Or they can release both a plenitude of cosmetics and meaningful gameplay-oriented content? Why does it have to be either or? Because Valve can't multitask, even on things that require zero effort?
Isn't it kind of weird that Valve allowed the cosmetic changes of everything you have, from the classes themselves to weapons, but never allowed customization of the Engineer's buildings? Sentries and dispensers will really always be recognizable, so why can't they be personalized while you can change your rocket launcher to have unicorns?
Don't give them any ideas.

To be honest, I'm half inclined to believe that the only reason they haven't is that TF2's Frankenstein code makes it more effort than it's worth to implement.

ALL CLASS! Yes, No, Maybe?
Ok, I'll go back in the box of shame...

and stay there, still like your pistol re animations though. Also knowing Valve, sentry or other building skins will probably happen before a new building is added in.

Because people would see lots of updates including nothing but cosmetics, and the occasional one adding new meaningful content, and assume that all they do is hats.
See: The last eight years.

Although the Tricksters Turnout Gear looks okay on Sniper just need some minor tweaks. All class would look idiotic, but multi-class should work.
Tricksters Turnout Gear should also be available for Scout (If it's possible.), Demoman, Heavy, and Sniper.

That sounds fucking bizarre and time consuming even for Valve, and this being Valve for them, thinking about it would take to much effort

you mean bizarre?
I know people aren't a fan of him, but what do you think of that idea?

could be fun to at least test temporarily
Also the Foster's Facade and the Stockbroker's Scarf really needs to be updated!
Back then it was really good for our loadouts, looking at it right now it's not that good due to the materials.
NeoDement, I'm looking at you!

All of the matchmaking stress testing I've done has had like 10% of the games at most where people went silly classes. Also, killing friendgroups going six Demoknights or whatever doesn't sound like a fun idea.
that's what pubs are for
it's all fun and games until five people do it and ruin a solo player's rank, otherwise i'd agree
I know a lot of demand for items being remade is from people passionate about their favourite items looking better or being on other classes, but remember that these are all made by real people and can take as much time and effort as making an entirely new item for almost no financial gain. I doubt there'll be a huge surge of people buying these from the store despite any updates
Something to keep in mind that Valve seems to be sticking to a rule of "only the original creators can improve an item" thing. Hence why Foster's Facade and Stockbroker's Scarf aren't probably going to be fixed (and also why those unique rocket models were turned down)

looking at me to do what? I already made the fix, it's up to Valve if they want to implement it or not.
can we make the mining light paintable please
i am 99% sure it's like 2 minutes of work and the only reason it isn't is because valve just plain forgot to do it.

As a spy main stabby refuses to agree with the fact that some classes are utility classes and wants to force 2 team members to play utility classes only. :v:
Ridiculous time-wasting class compositions at lower levels will still be a thing (spy, sniper, engie, medic, pyro and heavy noob picks for example) and meta will adapt to class changes at higher levels, so we will get the stale meta again, but this meta will be not as fun to watch and play, because it will make game flow less dynamic. You can't escape the meta - that's how multiplayer games work, there is always some kind of meta.
and also why those unique rocket models were turned down
I am gibus in all that law stuff, but probably creator can make some kind of public document which allows Valve to use his work, so they can proceed?
EDIT: What dumb did i say, why utility mains always overreact?
What is this trend of wanting to turn class-specific items into multi class ones.
The TTG is based on a firefighter's uniform, why on earth would you want to put it on anyone but Pyro for fuck's sake.
It's ErichGrooms, he wants every single item in-game to be all class or multi class.
I think that the Spy should get the Surgeon's Stethoscope. It's just the kind of classy accessory he would use when cracking open a safe.
EDIT: Also, can the Scout equip Das Feelinbeterbager? I'm pretty sure he's used medicine at least once.

Probably, but as it stands uploading it as is to the Workshop is gonna get you nowhere.
In light of the Sniper having been born in New Zealand, all cosmetics related to Australia have been removed from him, and are now equippable by the Pyro, who could still be from that country.
I made up a new game. Here's the rules
1. Go to the TF2 Wiki homepage and choose "Random page"
2. Keep pressing it until you reach a cosmetic (no matter what language it's in)
[t]http://puu.sh/nEaFw/b2e5d34944.png[/t]
3. Go to random.org and choose a random class (10 = all class)

4. "Give us Lucky No. 42 for Demo pls :D:D:D"

But seriously, don't alot of you realize that the HazMat was updated for Sniper as a joke? He shouldn't have more Pyro cosmetics AT ALL

That was a really bad joke then. Let's make both teams blue. As a joke...
"Whoops, I accidentally killed team recognition for 2/3 of the classes lower halves! Haha, what a silly mistake!"

The class loadout is as refined as it is because everyone's unanimously agreed upon the 6-man team structure. There's enough manpower for stuff to happen but few enough people that each individual matters significantly. There are occasional 4-man games that run typically on koth maps, and of course there's the ultiduo format. But those matches tend to be pretty polarizing once a single man falls, because the shift in team advantages from just firepower becomes incredibly strong. Then at the other end of the spectrum there's highlander where all classes get representation but most individuals matter less due to sheer volume of bodies (of course key classes are more significant).
He's sorta right, but not for the reasons that he thinks he's right. The 6's class format looks arbitrary to an outsider. Two of the most important classes are barred at a limit of 1 meanwhile all other classes are effectively unrestricted. Like, if you really wanted to form a strongest team with a 6's format, you'd go with 2 meds and 2 demos and the last 2 filled by whatever your team is good with. But those limits were imposed for the sake of keeping gameplay interesting instead of oppressively locked-down by stickies and ubers forever.
