Things that you should be able to inspect in-game: -Australiums -Promos/Reskins -Stock weapons -Ms. Pauling
really hope they start sneaking in inspects for every new weapon/skin/reskin that comes out, as well as retrofitting inspects for stuff already out same thing with stat clocks, although that's much less likely

I posted some images of more unused inspect animations A while back, I can't fine them but they're essentially for the Bonk, FaN, Gunslinger, Sandvich, and All-Class for Scout and Heavy. Paysus said that they're most likely going to make all animations first, then make everything inspectable, and I said "Skinable Gloves for heavy or skinable nails :excited:"
Can't wait to see what kind of skins we may get for the Eyelander if its inspect animation doesn't go unused in the future.
I honestly can't wait to decapitate people with a bloody claymore sword with cute kittens on the side of it
Eyelander skins could end up being really nice. The levels of wear might actually make it look good (bloodstains look better on a fuckhuge sword then they do on a minigun or pistol), and the skins themselves could just be different types of metal and different materials for the handle. Of course, just because skins can be nice and understated doesn't mean we won't get candy cane eyelanders or some other trash. Still, good things might happen so let's focus on that possibility for now.
I know people aren't a fan of him, but what do you think of that idea?
This was called prolander, and it was dropped because it was trash.
I hope its the former
I hope it's the latter
This was called prolander, and it was dropped because it was trash.
For actual competitive, yeah, it's absolute shit and slows the game down to a screeching halt because fights aren't determined as much by who's the better team/player and games take much longer to end as a result of the prolonged Heavy/Engie teamfights But for an introduction to competitive? Being limited to 1 of each class per team, it introduces new players to the idea that the team can't just got 9 heavies and roll through the game and challenges them to pick and learn one specific class so they're good enough at it, because they can't just swap to Pyro if they're having a bad game playing Sniper. The games being slower also helps the lower skill players so they can learn at a much better pace - going from pubs straight into sixes is not a very fun experience, and it's incredibly hard to actually get into HL because of how specific and big the teams are.
...Am I the only one who thinks "slow games" are not an issue?
it's not about removing the chance though, it's about minimising it
By severely limiting the possibilities everyone else has. Not a good idea.
Slow games that are really tight are not an issue. Slow games where nothing really happens are an issue.
What I'm basically talking about is that often whenever I play a match of cp_process, or almost any cp map in pubs, there'll often be a point where teams get "stuck" - just last night I had a match of process where every 3 minutes we lost mid and their second, and 3 minutes later, we were able to capture both back again, yet we were never able to get last. I enjoyed that back and forth, but there is always going to be the guy in the chat going "uuuugh, stalemate :^(" The only stalemate I don't find fun at all is something like the pl_barnblitz last, where literally nothing happens.
The comp stress tests have shown me that you can't just be good at one class though, esp. if you're solo queueing. Every time I hit Search and it comes up Viaduct, I just pray someone on my team is a decent sniper in addition to their skills as a generalist. Maybe this is a balancing issue that will be corrected, but I feel there are many maps where one class has a clear advantage in usefulness (often sniper due to sightlines or hard-to-clear stickytrap locations), and the fact that we can't pick our maps ahead of time rewards being able to respond to the map and the opposing team (I won't run sniper on viaduct unless the other team does, because even the psychological impact of a countersniper is enough to make them get fewer med picks).

A slow game is one where it takes a long time for anything to happen, you were playing a fast game that lasted a long time.

It's very map-dependent, though: Gullywash, Sunshine, or Badlands never seem to really stalemate at all.
About the buying a lot of a hat that might get updated for profit, wouldn't that be inside trading? Except not illegal.
Aye, pretty much, nothing you can really do about it apart from get annoyed at that person on tf2 outpost suddenly selling dozens of the same cosmetic. Really dickish for unusuals, they can get quite the raise.
If you are going to update an item to be worn by more characters, make it incognito. Its probably the best way
"the illegal practice of trading on the stock exchange to one's own advantage through having access to confidential information"
It's not confidential, since its free for everyone to just check for updates on the workshop. If we don't want to have economical speculations again (based on workshop updates), then we need to report all the authors that they shouldn't publish updates to their stuff [sp](i mean publish on workshop)[/sp] before they gets updated ingame. They should just send a message to Eric or Tf2team instead.

Not to mention you're one of the people that are known for doing it.
Can more BP Icons be like this [t]https://wiki.teamfortress.com/w/images/a/a9/Backpack_Triad_Trinket.png?t=20120803022144[/t][t]https://wiki.teamfortress.com/w/images/f/fb/Backpack_Dead_of_Night.png?t=20160307215755[/t] I like the whole folded aspect of it, just another thought.
I like seeing what the item looks like from the icon though, it makes it simple and easy. Not to mention molding or painting a folded over version seems like too much of a hassle when the contrary just looks better. I enjoy that some of the items like the Mann of the Seven Sees or Pyromancer's Raiments only highlight what the item does, as I like to see what I'm paying for.

I just understood that the way i mentioned above still don't gonna work well, since shitload of traders are always online for the time when updates usually happens. So they just gonna blow up every single hatbot with their amount of cash. Each one of them will buy around 50 of every updated hat for a cheap in less than 30 mins after the update, so there's no chance that someone like you (sorry, maybe) can get it for old price (or maybe you can if you were have a good reaction and can do that quickly). But that's not really something like "Main problem", so i still stand for my first idea.
