i feel like you're expecting a bit much out of valve
expecting them to do their job?
someone else got an 195 MB update?
Can valve remove sentry busters being able to step on buildings and blow them up INSTANTLY cause it makes dispenser placement really hard on manhattan
Can valve remove sentry busters being able to step on buildings and blow them up INSTANTLY cause it makes dispenser placement really hard on manhattan
They do so they don't get stuck on the way to the sentry, I think that was a problem in early mvm. It would be better if they could just jump over or walk through dispensers, don't know why valve didn't think that.
Hey what about Pass Time? It's a good gamemode though, but couldn't Valve just add Pass Time in Matchmaking? Oh and don't forget Player Destruction!
Would PassTime even work in a 6s or Highlander setting? I could see it working better in a 7v7 or 8v8 with no class restrictions.
Would PassTime even work in a 6s or Highlander setting? I could see it working better in a 7v7 or 8v8 with no class restrictions.
True, true. Also the creators need to re-work the Warehouse map, it's so unbalanced right now, Pinewood is fine the way it is.

For the sake of spectating, ball sports are among the simplest for any novice to understand: put ball in hole. How ingrained ball sports are in our global cultures reinforces that basic understanding if you were to transpose it into a different setting, Rocket League for example is pretty easy for people to get a basic grip on if not for the mental gymnastics it takes to learn to control a vehicle in such a way.
Anyone has any idea when will Valve start to test 9v9?
post
There's absolutely nothing wrong with Heavy getting the Gift Bringer, and considering that Sniper already had an item that completely covers his head before the Hazmat Headcase was updated, I don't really see a problem with it either (besides, he does handle some hazardous materials *coughjaratecough* every day). I do agree that the Baggies update is a complete abomination, though. Someone should really bug Heartsman to fix the team colors for the Demo, at least.
but as the number of items being updated increases, if even 10% of them are poor quality it will be a lot of bad and unfitting items
That's a pretty fucking stupid mindset to have. Considering that they added 16 cosmetics in the Gun Mettle update and 2 of them were kinda shit (according to some folks, anyway), that's a whopping 12.5% of "bad and unfitting items". Does this mean they should just stop updating the game altogether?
Latest HUD updates make me sad. Don't get me wrong - i like them, but the fact that they are slapping them on top of the old HUD right now in small portions shows that they are not going to recreate HUD, menu and loading screens. I still want to believe, though (just replace that old CS:S-like loading bar and i will calm down, okay?).
It's interesting to see a spy in 6v6 discussion here because I think spy is one of the classes that most benefits from being situational and not run all the time. The whole concept of the spy surprising people really does make it a lot easier to get picks with in 6es than highlander, and most of the skill is actually in running spy at the correct time. It relies on a little more luck than sniper but it's definitely something that players will suspect less, and something that's actually harder to shut down because it's quite easy to distract for a spy. Unless you're a very good sniper, spy is often a better offclass because good medics won't just stand in sightlines.
Are people complaining about clipping? Because if you wanna complain about that, you'll have to complain about 50% of the items in-game.
I still wonder what possessed them to make the Hazmattenhatten not a hat. There literally isn't a single hat slot item that doesn't clip with it.

With DR it can be super effective.
Anyone has any idea when will Valve start to test 9v9?
I wonder if 9v9 will actually have highlander class restrictions. If not I would honestly just prefer to see larger games being even closer to a pub format10-12 players at a time with some class restrictions (at least a max of 2 spies and 2 snipers per team, possibly a max 2 of all classes).
Isn't it nice to be superior to other people and their tastes
aren't you a meme bind shit machine yourself?
aren't you a meme bind shit machine yourself?
Not unless I'm playing with friends. That also doesn't really respond to my actual point.

damn, got me there :pudge: edit - yknow what these are starting to get good actually [T]http://i.imgur.com/KgJA5s4.png?1[/T]
Isn't it nice to be superior to other people and their tastes
if you're so concerned about people acting like they're superior, why are you sarcastically giving shit to somebody for their "tastes"
How do people get listed in the streams thing? Twitch.tv only, or does it pull from the steam viewing thing?
if you're so concerned about people acting like they're superior, why are you sarcastically giving shit to somebody for their "tastes"
Because coming from a place of moral high ground is OK if one is making a valid moral statement (e.g. don't be condescending towards people with different interests), but claiming moral superiority for an aesthetic judgement (e.g. this stream title looks stupid therefore TF2 streams are stupid) is not a flattering or fair action.
How do people get listed in the streams thing? Twitch.tv only, or does it pull from the steam viewing thing?
Nobody uses Steam streams for "big" streams so i guess we will never know :v:

"Seanbud's stream description is shite what the fuck was valve thinking adding a stream menu to tf2 fucking idiots"
I think one of the coolest parts of the viral beta pass system is how it almost automatically gives you friends to play matchmaking with. When I'm just pubbing around I give passes to good players I meet and often we'll friend each other and party up. Now the players I've given passes to have been able to give passes to their friends and we can usually get parties filled on friends/friends of friends alone. Suddenly I've got a bunch of new friends who actively play TF2. Quite the boon for some of us less social gamers!
