I don't see what's the problem, doesn't mentioning 2 materials in the qc(s, thinking you're making two models) work?
Doesn't the Guillotine have 2 skins already? You know, for the 2 styles. Maybe that's why it's not going to work.

Have 2 per style?
If that doesn't work, there's an easy solution. Make it player-controlled via the Styles.
This tool totally didn't allow me to download some other Valve games for free... :v:
Anyway *clears throat* I also have beta TF2 now, maybe I should upload all files that were thrown away in one big folder?

No cause skin 1 is style 1 and skin 2 is style 2, it's coded. Maybe editable through ctx?
anyone going to upload the GCF? just for us Go getters! :D
If the gcf or a bunch of files are gonna be uploaded to us directly it would need something more powerful than Mediafire so it doesn't need to be in parts.
Dropbox if we can find somebody with enough space?

Jill's got an old version of tf2, about 2008, she gave me the res files, i could try later to make the loadout screen similar to the classic one.

These are icons, or actual 3D models?
..Looking at the Dynamite Pack, I'll expect Meet the Demoman for SFM to come with its textures
Can someone rebuild depotdownloader using the upadated steakit2 libs please? I'm not able to connect to the Steam3 server (and I assume that is because the prebuilt version is out of date).

alright, so i found the 2008's version of the loadout screen res file, but apparently there is nothing under that name in the newer version, guess they changed the name of it, any one know what is it?
I actually did some mod work ages ago which replaced our current backpack icons with live model previews (since I've had copies of old TF2 versions backed up even before this download method was found).
...and it's actually a horrible idea, because a lot of models are rotated wrong or at weird angles. Not to mention attachments don't work, so Natascha, Backburner, Kritzkrieg, etc. don't look different. The icon system is way better.
