So is it possible to get the old Scottish Resistance?

Could you get the 2007 TF2 Beta with the same program (the one with the SFM leak).

Possibly we could but for what purpose?

It has nothing interesting anyway. I have it.

Game Zombie has made a mod that basically does this anyway.
I personally think it looks better than that version anyway.

...how? The version we have now looks like something out of a Nintendo 64 game.

He made it out of the view model.

Come on now, it isn't that bad.

You're right. It's more like PS2 if you include how much Valve fucked up the VMT.

The old Scottish Resistance is still in the files so it could easily be done. I'll also make an update for the sticky launchers that flips the drum on all of them.
Don't forget about the scarless version of the Sniper's face texture.
Don't forget about the scarless version of the Sniper's face texture.
You can get that out of the SFM files last time I checked.
So did anyone actually try to unpack gcfs upon the earliest tf2 (the one with sfm) we have?
Please try it out dude.
Buildings cannot be upgraded in this version, apparently.
Buildings cannot be upgraded in this version, apparently.
Building upgrades weren't introduced until later patches.
Suppose you can't move buildings either, or airblast?
-snip-

Oho, that makes sense.
Well then.
I'll try rephrasing my question again. Has anybody been able to download a full version of any game, or just in separate parts. I can't seem to get 440, but I've been able to get 441, 442 so far, and wondering if I really need to grab all of these:
+ "Multiplayer OB Binaries" (217)
+ "Source 2007 Shared Materials" (305)
+ "Source 2007 Shared Models" (306)
+ "Source 2007 Shared Sounds" (307)
+ "Team Fortress 2 Content" (441)
+ "Team Fortress 2 Materials" (442)
+ "Team Fortress 2 Client Content" (443)
+ "Base Source Shared Materials" (206)
+ "Base Source Shared Models" (207)
+ "Base Source Shared Sounds" (208)
+ "OrangeBox Media" (319)

Moving buildings wasn't introduced until the Engineer Update in 2010.

Poor engies.
Grenade Launcher have 6 pipes loaded?
Grenade Launcher have 6 pipes loaded?
Yep; was later reduced to 4 (hence why several use the 4-chamber barrel mod nowadays, I know I do) and regular stickies was reduced to 8 for balancing purposes. Bleh.

You may not need all the Base Source and Base Orangebox/Source 2007 stuff.
However, you DO need "Team Fortress 2 Client Content" (443)

Is 443, just the client.dll, as that's all that downloads with the depotdownloader?
Is 443, just the client.dll, as that's all that downloads with the depotdownloader?
No, it should download the hl2.exe with the client.dll and other folders.
If that does not work, download the base stuff.
EDIT: Actually it is just the client.dll. Try using the source base/source 2007/orangebox stuff too with the client.dll.

Download version 0 of all of that? As wouldn't you be getting the version from when CSS was released as thats when the shared material, models, sounds first appeared?

One question: why it was reduced to 4 the GL? I don't know, doesn't make sense
One question: why it was reduced to 4 the GL? I don't know, doesn't make sense
Because it was too spammable with six grenades in the chambers. Or so I would think, anyway.

Plus, the grenades would explode on contact with players. Now that's OP, but could be useful for MvM only!
..Hey, what about BLU Demoman's and RED Beta medic's head textures? The Wiki mentions 'em, you know
