OK maybe I was wrong there, I'll be a bit more specific. Anything with an options menu that doesn't look like Hl2 is source 2. [editline]7th June 2016[/editline] But either way I'm correct, LMAOBox is just gonna move to another language, maybe Java, and VAC will be useless as it only detects c++ cheats I think.
You have literally no idea what you're talking about.
Then L4D and Portal 2 must be using Source 2! And I didn't know lmaobox creator had that much dedication to port over cheat from one language to another, and that VAC doesn't detect non-cpp cheats... Can I have your source?
Well portal 2 does use source 2, I don't know about l4d though, never really played that game, but if it's on source 1 it probably has the source 1 options menu.
Well portal 2 does use source 2, I don't know about l4d though, never really played that game, but if it's on source 1 it probably has the source 1 options menu.
Clearly everything you can find anywhere is wrong then.
And I think I do have an idea what I'm talking about. I know how vac works and I also know the differences between source 1 and 2. [editline]7th June 2016[/editline]
Clearly everything you can find anywhere is wrong then.
Just because it says source doesn't mean it's on source 1. The current version of portal 2 is on source 2. Portal 1 is on source 1, however.
And I think I do have an idea what I'm talking about. I know how vac works and I also know the differences between source 1 and 2.
No you don't. You don't know nothing at all. Dota 2 is the first game ever to use Source 2 engine. Everything up to Dota 2 (and that in recent times) uses Source 1. And it's probably just Ken M writing these posts.
If that's true, than why can't you load CS:GO or Portal 2 maps into Garry's Mod, which runs on source 1? But you can still load hl2, hl2ep1, hl2ep2, portal, CSS. etc. maps into Garry's Mod? And I don't know who Ken M is.
[t]http://puu.sh/pkguV/2f9f81afa3.png[/t] notice the line about bsp version
Version 21 is source 2 probably? Why would they change the mapping file extension when moving from source 1 to source 2, do you think I'm that dumb to not notice that?

Here's me trying to launch a Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines map in Garry's Mod. VTMB also uses Source engine. It was using a version of it older than Half-Life 2, because it was in development before Half-Life 2, but the developers f it could use it because Valve let them to. [t]http://puu.sh/pkgRZ/25faba5d2c.png[/t] You're trying to defend yourself on a forum ABOUT Source engine.

We also have one or two Valve employees on here IIRC.

Therefore, csgo and portal 2 use version 21 and up, so they are source 2. tfw people still replying :incredible:

So Dota 2 was Source 2 since it was first released? Because it didn't use hl2 menu by that time either. Please, go back to Reddit and your "hacker" circlejerks about r/tf2, we got our own circlejerks here thank you very much.

Please stop feeding the troll, it's not even subtle.
OK now I know what a .bsp can hold??? What was the reason you replied with that link?
Are you ignoring the truth because you have come this far? Just give up already, you're wrong, let's keep going on with our days.
Either way what I was saying was correct. LMAOBox is not dead, and it won't be for a while. Eventually there gonna find an exploit or a way around VAC and it won't be detected ever again.
Eventually there gonna find an exploit or a way around VAC.
And when that happens valve is going to patch exploit again :godzing: Also let's not forget about vac ban wave shortly afterwards People at valve working in vac team ain't being paid for nothing afterall
Vac can only do so much though. Also, valve can't patch exploits they don't know about? It's not like they're gonna release the exploit, because that's how they get fixed.
how are you not banned yet
how are you not banned yet
What would I be banned for? I have broken no rules on this forum.
Java doesn't have the memory manipulation capabilities C++ does so no. VAC also was not written by a 12 year old (although it might seem like it has been at times) and so, doesn't detect on 'language' alone but on a number of factors like behaviour (threads bridging themselves into the process's memory space and redirecting calls to the DLL etc) and file signing etc. No matter the language, it'll be caught because it's got to do the same things over and over to actually be a 'hack'. It's got to have a way to attach itself to the process (DLL_PROCESS_ATTACH()); It's got to redirect calls to an external DLL (external threads etc); It's got to map itself into the process's memory space if it's not using threads (processes cannot 'talk' to each other unless you use shared memory both can access, or a thread) or in general because it's got to 'see' what the process (TF2) is doing in order to actually function properly. There's loads of factors involved so 'just change the language' won't work. You might as well write it in HTML and Javascript for all the work it'll do.
